Legend GS
Hey guys my younger brother, who btw is 17, just bought himself a 1994 Legend GS 6 speed, 28K miles one owner, car was used along side 2 of her other cars thats why it did not rack up that many miles over the years. Its black with ebony leather and is impeccably clean inside and out. He asked me if i can help him modify it a little bit, stuff as CAI, coilovers, etc. I will keep looking for info on mods myself but would appreciate it if you guys chip in info as to what mods to do and where to get the stuff from, thanks.

The car was collecting dust over the past 3 or 4 years. Her hubby bought it new back in the day and she got it in the divorce settlement. She said she only drove it a few thousand miles a year, only when the other cars were not available coz, as she states, she is not a big fan of the 3rd paddle and the 6 speed .

230HP 6spd legend. Awesome man. Go to www.importperformanceparts.com it is the best site on the net for aftermarket import parts. Great selection and very good prices. Headers, exhaust, CAI, UR crank pulley. You know the normal bolt-ons are all available for the legend on this site. Plenty of other stuff too, like wheels, bodykits, spoilers, floor mats, interior stuff and so on. Your brother will have a blast driving this car. I want one too!

BTW the stock suspension on the GS 6spd is really good suspension, coilovers won't make a big difference. Dropping it a few inches will, but then you need to get camber kit too=expensive.

Here are a few pics that i was able to find on the internet. My brother lives up in Nashua, NH so it would be a while before i would be able to get a hold of some actual pictures of the car. Sarlacc, its a four door with black leather interior, as you can see in the following pictures that the GS was offered in blk/blk combination.
Again these pictures are of not the car that my brother bought, but someone elses that i was able to find on the internet. But the car is exactly the same as pictured above.

I did some research and found out that they dont make a CAI for this car, there are a few short ram intakes available thou. Most people usually get a custom one made, which i would look into myself as well.

pretty sure you can put a similar gen Accord CAI on there.
my dream car is the 6spd Coupe Type II. looked for it forever in high school about 4 years back. the local dealership got like 2 coupes in per year and had never even seen a 6psd coupe since back when they were in the showroom.

Wow, that is a nice find. Check out www.acura-legend.com for all the info you need. I know you can find an intake fairly easily; I had a Weapon-R on my old 6-speed coupe. Remus, Stromung and Greddy all have exhaust applications for the Legend. There are no headers available unfortunately. I'm pretty sure there is a group buy going on over there right now for strut tower bars as well. Aftermarket support for the Legend is pretty crappy overall, but they are 10+ years old now.

I like that body style better than the 01s... no offense. Esp the ones with nice chrome wheels.
BTW. The Blue Book value on that car is not much less than the BB on the 01 with 50-60K miles.
Great fine...

NICE FIND
my legend is a 91 w/ almost 113k on it....not bad, but 28k is just insane.
aftermarket for the car is slim to none. just check out the legend forums as stated above. Almost every aftermarket part for that car had to be custom made, and done through a groupbuy on the legend forums.
we've had members make:
Cold air intakes (not the SRI like on ebay)
sway bars - addco
short shifter- custom
top strut bar - MLS copy (groupbuy going on now, i think)
and probably more stuff i'm forgetting
as for suspension choices are very limited.
full coilovers - JIC SF-1 if you can find it
sleeve - Ground control
springs - H&R, eibach
shocks - Koni, kyb (blah)
wheels
just remember high offset (kinda like TL/CL)
but center hub is 70mm, so if you want to put TL/CL rims it needs to be bored, or different hubcentric rings for aftermarket rims.
but i LOVE the GS rims
oh, and get some JDM 1-pc headlights. those are always nice...

very very nice find! GS legends that are well taken care of still look very nice and classy. I still have a 94 GS legend with 83k miles on it. It still runs perfectly with no problems at all. Best acura created except for the nsx of course. Only downside to the legend is that insurance is expensive for it

Whoa whoa whoa...
First off... wow.. great find..
Second.. I know ALL about this car's engine.. simply because... I HAVE ONE MYSELF
Thats right, 1st gen TL's 3.2 engines are a tamer version of the C32 motor in your brothers Legend GS. I did the necessary part swaps to get the full 230+ hp, so has Cornflake.
There ARE CAI out there for the Legends, i'll provide info about those later.
Again, thats an incredible find, more so because I have friends in New Hampshire ( I grew up there too ), so that car was somewhat under my nose the whole time.

^^ Ken thanks for the input mate, the private party value on the car was $8100, and the trade in was $6200, my brother ended up paying $7300 for it, i know its a steal i envy him to tell you the truth. Basically the lady was trying to get rid of it, and all she cared was for some one to take it off of her hands and pay her a decent amount of money for it. She didnt advertise the car, i know that if she had she would have been able to sell it for more than what my brother bought it for. Ken do let me know where to get the CAI, coz i dont want to get the short ram intake for it, and after doing my research all i was able to find was some custom made ones through a group buy. I hate the fact that the center bore on these things is 70 mm which makes it impossible to put TLS 17" wheels on it. I drove the car the other day, and to tell you the truth the engine is awesome, its smooth but i know it will only get better from here, since it never got driven hard. I know this thread is worthless without pictures but as i stated it would be a while for me to get the pictures in since i dont see my brohter that often, due to the fact that he lives up in NH. The engine compartment is clean, since the car was never driven in snow hence it doesnot have any salt accumulation and the aluminum is as clean as it first came out of the factory. It was serviced by Sunny side acura for those who live around Nashua area, and it came with all the service records. .

Weapon-R would be my choice for an intake mostly because it IS CARB certified and while NH doesnt care, other northeastern states do and you might as well do it in case of a move.

Yeah but isnt that only a the short one i.e. short ram intake I am looking for something that goes all the way down into the wheel well, like the one AEM has got for 2nd gen TL and CLs.

Also.. just about any short ram intake can be turned into a CAI with a simple 90 degree pipe.

CL/TL rims are some of my favorite rims on legends...
or another route, is to bore it to 74mm like aftermarket rims, and use hubcentric rings, that way you can put it back on your TL if you ever need to
i think the going rate for boring them out is like $20-25 per wheel, if you are serious about it, it's cheaper than buying rims....
