LED interior car bulbs
I guess I'll stick this here.....
How long are these types of LED interior bulbs supposed to last? Like the ones for your dome lights, map lights, door lights, etc.
I know many here have swapped them in. I'm trying to gauge if it's worth it for me to continue to do it. Seems I have to replace my LED bulbs every 6 months. They blow out. Now I know they are not supposed to, but they do. All the bulbs I got have been from superbrightleds.com.
I contacted them & they will not honor any warranty. That's fine. I'm just wondering if it's cheap bulbs from that place or my type of car , or maybe the FL heat that's killing them.

LED lights should last 10,000 to 100,000 hours of use depending on conditions. For most applications 50,000 hours is the norm. As you guessed heat will decrease their lifespan esspecially when they get very hot (200+oC?).
I've read some of the treads here and alot of folks are having alot of LED failures from aftermarket lights for really short operation life. My best guess is poor quality products (circuit boards, soldering, resistors, LED's,...) are the main cause.

vled's - Major supplier to Lockheed, Vaught, etc.
My advice would be to give them a try.
