Lease is up

My Dad's lease on his 03' Silverado is soon up and he wants to buy now. He is looking at an 04' Trailblazer: Autotrader Listing
He brought it down to $7,500, good buy? Anyone know of any problems with the Trailblazer?

There are decent American products out there, and some of the best are GM's. Hell there are a few just released and in the pipe that I like (G8 anyone?)

But he can do better for that money than an 04 Trailblazer.

^ Yikes!

Also, maybe something more fuel efficient? Not sure about your dad, but I know I don't want something that gets 14 mpg right now.

Well my dad owns/runs a small business selling paint, he will need it to haul the stuff around. Its his part-time job so he does need the room+power. His full time-job as a machinist is a 20 mile drive. Maybe a 2nd DD would be good for him?

just go for the H2

I would hate to by $80+ fill ups!! (I would really consider a Prius right about now...though I would hate get stuck with that slug when the bubble does burst.)

I definitely think the Acadia is one of GM's best looking vehicles right now.
