Laser Jammers

Anyone here on Azine have any experience with them?

I'm kind of interested in getting one, and wasn't sure if anyone had any first hand suggestions (or non-suggestions).

Only one I've seen work is the blinder. However if the cop using laser can't get a reading from you & he suspects you are/were speeding he may pull you over. They are still legal though. Lasers are run by the FDA.

As far as I know. Certain cities or counties may say they are illegal.

illegal? or legal? FL has no law on them. Lasers are controlled under the FDA. Radar jammers however are banned.

^ Maybe I'm thinking of Radar Jammers. But why would either of them be legal or illegal b/c of the Food & Drug Administration (FDA)?

I always thought they were illegal b/c of the FCC....

Don't know how up-to-date this is but...

Laser Jammers and Radar Jammers are illegal in the states of Nebraska, Minnesota, Utah, California, Oklahoma, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois and Washington DC.

As far as legality, it is correct that the FDA controls all laser codes. So all the govt can do is enact a law in that particular state saying its unlawful to use them. Kind of like radar detectors in VA and DC. Saw states they are illegal, yes, but many they are not.

^ It's possible. The FCC may only be involved if it's an Active jammer verses a Passive jammer since an Active jammer would technically be classified as a transmitter.

Either way if you have one, get pulled over, and the cop notices it... it won't end well...

Laser jammers are not transmitters because there are no radio frequencies.
They are handled like any laser device weather it be for medical use, education, CD/DVD players, laser pointers, laser gun sights etc. Those are govern by the laws passed by the FDA. Not the FCC.
The FCC right now has zero bearing on laser jammers.

Many people use the Blinder, and Laser Interceptor. Radar jamming is illegal everywhere. For laser jammers, I know many people use a kill switch on the jammer to make it less suspicious.

Hey TS, I have them installed on my c2s. The 2 devices are on each side of the front plate, painted black, and blend in well with the front airdam. Each is approximately 1 by 3 cm rectangular shaped. The alarm is a small light placed on the far side of the driver's side dashboard. It is wired to a switch placed beneath the handbrake. I have mine turned on all the time. When the cop targets me with the laser, the green light turns red and emits an alarm. I was instructed to turn the jammer off and get within legal speed within 5 seconds which is the time it takes for the cop to recalibrate his laser and fire a 2nd time. At that time, I am ideally under the speed limit and the 2nd reading is normal. PM me if you want more details. It cost $500 for the equipment and install which took about 4 hours. No wires are visible and the placement of everything is on the down-low which is how you want it. In the 9 months I've owned the c2s, it's only gone off twice and both times I was within the speed limit. I don't speed but it's nice to have for peace of mind.
