Just saved a grand on insurance!

I just called up the insurance to let them know i moved to san diego/la jolla area and they knocked off 500 bucks every 6 months! I used to live in LA, and had no idea insurance is so much higher because of that. So for anyone who has moved off to college and hasnt informed their insurance about it, go and do it now! Ive asked lots of people and most of them didnt bother changing it. In fact, my roommate still hasnt done it even though i told him about the savings.

yeah I right now live in the country so my insurance is cheap. but I'm moving to Columbus. but I'm gonna claim dual resident(both in the country and Columbus) run the car under the country address(which is my parents house) because it's cheaper for my car insurance here vs Columbus.

anytime you live in a city with a lot of people the insurance company screws you on insurance.

I was looking at switching to Geico and saving about 3000 a year with just a change in my deductables, w/o any changes in them I'd save about 1500-2000 a year.

when i moved from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando I saved like 90 bucks, 180 a year. I'm not complaining, right now I only pay 500 every 6 months (full coverage).
