Its an 03' TL-S with an 03' accord 6sp. Normal bolt-ons(intake headers, exhaust) and tuned on a Apexi VAFC2. I was having issues with the TL-S ECU running in limp mode and found out its because its looking for the tiptronic(sp) and obviously i dont have that.lol. So i just sourced an 03 TL auto ecu and gunna try it out and see how it does.
Now im off to check the boards out and see what interesting mods i find on here!!!

LOVE what you did with the engine...
But please for the love of all things human get a hood that covers the engine please...
Otherwise, I think you pulled it off well. A couple of questionable parts, but nicely done

I'm pretty sure it's in the 12s easily, especially with slicks. My buddy's Integra sedan with a B20 block with a B16 head with a valve job running on slicks ran 12s.
That is awesome btw. It looks like those older muscle cars with their blowers sticking out of the hood

thanks for the move!
n accord ecu eh?hmm. i gotta see if it has the same pin-out. thats wat makes/breaks this ecu interchange for me. I just put my Base TL ecu n WOWWWWWWW worlds differenceee.
Rev limiter is at 6k i believe but its not in limp mode, so it feels like a monster! Everytime i find something new i unlokc even more power, and the ecu switch was the biggest change.i hear the oddysey one is great as well.
can anyone point me in a good direction to see the rev limits for different cars?this tl one appears to have a 6k max rev. i know a few rev til 7200-7400 but not sure which one tho.
I.E
accorrds,tl,tl-s,cl,cl-s,oddyseey(sp), etc
thanks, its another one of those love hate things. its a very rare antenna here in the states and is looked for by everyone, only a handfull here and maybe 1-2 working ones, so i love it.

on limp mode i ran a 13.6,lol. revving till 5,500,street tires spining the whole 1/4, missing 5th.lol.i saddly had to hit 5th because limp mode. and before anyone says "y would u run ur car on limp mode", i just found out it was on limp mode last night after hitting the dyno and getting actual rpm readings from the dyno. the one on the car is obviously of because its meant to read 4cycl not 6.

Looks good.
Why aren't you runnning a CL Type S 6 speed Ecu though? I would imagine that would get rid of all your issues since the engine is pretty much the same between those CL-S' and TL-S' and the ECU won't be looking for any inputs from the trans.

Very cool.
Gotta appreciate all the work that went into that. I still have my Civic and it went high 12's on slicks with 197 whp and only 129 ft lbs of torque. I'd imagine if you can get the ECU thing sorted out and get that car to hook up, you'd see 11's no problem.

Just another Civic, huh? Lol, damn bro, that's insane! Love the J-swap in it. Unreal.
So you have the Accord 6spd in it... does that mean you don't have the limited slip that the CL-S6 or TL 6spd have? Something you should probably look into if you don't since that will definitely help hook more power up to the pavement.
Kudos on an extremely crazy Civic!

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
Nice.... And I'm not a Civic liking guy.
And you have the front passenger side bumper stick that all of the old Baba's here have (because they have no idea where their front bumper is). It's ugly, but no one in the US has them
Keep us posted on what you do with her.

Great work on the swap! Car looks good too. The market for J32 parts is getting a great boost from you civic guys! Only just recently could we get high performance valve-train components and pistons. Very exciting, and hopefully soon we'll have more clutch/flywheel choices.
When using the CL-6speed ecu remember a few things:
You will need to swap out a whole bunch of parts because the ecu will be looking for the 2 crank position/shaft sensors. You will end up in limp mode again.
One of our senior members on the CL side discovered this when swapping a auto motor into his 6speed. BTW his name is jproy, and when he talks you listen
He has pioneered many a mod for our cars. Anyway let me find the parts list or that thread for you...
Found em. All parts from a CL-S 6speed. (like mine!!)
Front cam pulley 14260-PGE-A11
Front plate assembly (behind cam pulley) 11860-PGE-A10
Timing belt pulley(lower) 13621-PGE-A11
Crank shaft sensor 37500-PGE-A11
Subharness for CKP 37501-PGE-A10
TDC Sensors (Qty 2) 37840-PGE-A11
SUB HARNESS 37841-PGE-A10
There was talk on another site about getting around this... But the parts needed to swap are not all that expensive. From the looks at your car, you don't have a problem spending $$$ on your ride.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but you might be able to use the richiev6 module that CL and TL guys use when doing a 6speed swap:

Without the module the following feature will not work.
-VTEC
-Full rev limit
-Speedo
-Reverse lock out
-Reverse light
-Passing inspection due to CEL
The advantage over using the 03 CL 6 speed ECU.
-You keep your stock ECU.
-No need to change engine harness
-No need for expensive cam gears and sensors
-No need to tow your car to dealer to immobilizer programming
-No need to tear apart interior to change body harness
-Allow you to use TL and Accord 6 speed which are more plentiful and have less mileage.
-No CEL
Basically you can save lots of money using the harness and everything is simplified.
So I think a 6speed ecu with the correct 6speed parts, or the richiev6 module should fix that limp mode problem. You do know about the new site that popped up just for these swaps. Pm me for info if not.
Good luck and hope to see your car at one of the upcoming tri-state area meets.
