jgj925's tC '11 Thread (Update: 9/1/13)

Hey everybody

So I pulled the trigger on a 2011 tC with 34k miles about a week ago. I originally was going to get a 3rd gen TL but the deal I got on the tC was too good to ignore. I'm still a Honda man at heart . Most of the other Scion forums are not even close to as active as AZ so I thought I'd put my "build" thread here. Progress will be slow because I'm not going to do anything major until factory warranty is over. Just more of documentation and feedback for now.
Here's a few pics for now:

He has an FRS...the tC reference is a long-running joke.

The 2014 tC is gorgeous and I have always loved the practicality of the hatch. I sat in a 2013 Release Series model at the local auto show last year and I wasn't too impressed by the interior quality (compared to the 3G TL) but it's good looking inside and out nevertheless.

Nice to see one in good shape! I say this because my friend has a 2012 and he pretty much hates it. 15 months old and it has bald tires at 18k miles, 2 horribly curb rashed wheels, 2 bad wheel hubs, plenty of dents, and he spun out once ripping off the bumper off and putting a nasty dent in the passenger side quarter panel. I think they look great (I'm with you guys in saying the 2014 is quite a looker) and are a practical and economical car to use while not looking like an econobox. If you'd be looking for fog lights, I know my friend got a kit that came with everything for an OEM install for like $100 off Amazon.

Cool White LEDs for map, dome, and trunk.

Natural White LEDs for License Plate

Pics don't do much justice...but hoping to get a DSLR within the next week

Also, temp tags expired as you may see so still waiting to get tags to do springs

Smile Update 08/19/13

So I got some work done over the weekend!
TRD Lowering Springs (1" drop), Spec-D Tuning K2 Fog Lights, Tinted Tails with VHT NS, and rear window stickers

Please leave feedback and criticism!! I will post pics of the stock height vs lowered height after springs settle more in a few days.

Shout out to Mike at MVZ Audio & Performance for the help!

Drop looks nice. But IMO, stickers are extremely silly...

Ya the stickers aren't as cool as I thought anymore. Going for a cleaner look now. They'll come off soon
