Jaguar S-Type R

A good friend of the family is the manager at the local Jag store and took in an S-Type R on trade.

I have been looking at trading the Tahoe in on this and am wondering if any of y'all know anything about it.

It sounds good on paper and I love the styling . . .

I'd be careful. Brand new, the S-Type has been known to be very troublesome. Not saying don't do it, just make sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb.

When I look at an S type r, to me its on an entirely different level as the regular S type. Just the grille itself is so nice looking, plus the exhaust and the engine.

I've been in love with this car as well the last couple of months, but I am hesitant to buy a Jag because of some of the stories I have heard. The resale on this car almost seems to be a little TOO low

They are kinda tiny but if you don't need the room of the Tahoe then its not a big deal.

Buy it.

In my opinion it is one of the most underrated cars on the road.

I've always love the S type R. However my brother in law used to have a Jag(grant it was before Ford owned them) but he said that damn thing was in the shop more than it was on the road.

That was very true. In fact, my dad had two Jags so that when one was in the shop, he could drive the other

Anyways, I called my friend and am going to go see it tomorrow-I will let y'all know

After Ford took Jaguar over a lot of their problems seemed to go away (believe it or not). We used to have a 99 (or 98? cant remember now) XJR and it was awesome. Ran hard up until 125000 when we traded it in. I know a few people with the S Types with the V8 and they dont complain about them.

That is just it, I don't really need the room, and I don't tow with it like I said I was going to. Plus, it is an SUV, and while great for hauling stuff, it just doesn't fit as well as I thought it would.

Plus, I actually have equity in the damn thing

What are you going to pull the Viper to the track with? Unless you plan on driving to the events with track tires on (while wasting the life of them)?

Oh, and let's just swap out the trannies/final drives from our S2Ks.

That's just the thing, I do not think that I will actually get around to buying a trailer for the Viper-it is expensive, and I have no where to store it. So, there goes one of the main reasons for getting the Tahoe.

I have no idea what will happen tomorrow-I love too many cars.

Hell, driving the S2k yesterday reminded me why I got it in the first place, it is an absolute blast to drive!

Mine is a daily driver. Though I miss driving the TSX on a regular basis. Damn, I want a new one.

S-Type R!!!

very nice car!!! I love the brake calipers, visible through the five spoke rims. The British racing green paint job. The "J-shifter," the 390HP supercharged V8. for some reason, I love Jaguars, but the electrical systems suck when you're over 60,000miles, or something.

Nonetheless, if i were you, I'd buy it ASAP

One of the most underated cars around. I'd rock one in a heart beat. Some small mods, and you'd be hanging with the big boys.

What's funny is that I am currently inspecting the MOPAC extension work being done directly north of the Jag dealership. I found that if I park my company truck in the island between the access road and the on ramp just south of Parmer, I can pick up a wireless signal from the UPS store adjacent to the HEB. I just saw a green jag S type R zoom by on the on ramp. It had a white sticker on the back window of some sort. Was that you?
