It's not a TSX thread.. But what the heck..
Figured I would start a new thread for my weekend toy and auto-x ride and not crowd up my TSX build thread. Here are some pics after a full detail and clear bra..
Ride: 2011 Mazda RX-8 R3 version purchased new this month from Open Road Mazda in NJ. Thanks to PyroDave for checking out the car for me before it was flatbed'ed down here to MD.
my Home Depot oil coiler grille guards ($7)
CF wrapped OEM grille. The one that came with the car was jacked up my the lic. plate mounting brackets..
For the ass lovers out there

I love RX-8's, I've been seriously considering one but the S2K will almost certainly win.

Bad ass, except for the grille. Never could get into that smile.

The most shocking thing about this thread
Is that mods read the 2G TSX section

Right now, the garage is reserved for the TSX and the RX8. The RX8 is not a car you want as a DD. At least not for someone like me who's a bit older now. The RX8 however, is one heck for a driver's car. It's light, nimble, 9-10K redline that sounds like a combo of a liter bike and a jet turbine. Those Recaros are tight but they keep my fat ass glued while taking high G corners. Yesterday, I was being chased by a new WRX with mods through a series of twists and turns and I was able to leave the WRX way behind

Nice ride.
I've been seriously crushing on the new BRZ/FRS, but its hard to justify it with a family to lug around. This might be a contender for a fun car for me. Used ones are fairly cheap now.

hahaha he's referring to how laid back the CU2 section is, and its great like that(this isn't a cue to change it). we mess around ALOT and get away with alot more than most would on a regular section/forum. like consistently talking about ed's mom, PS: Ken have you had a go at her yet? its a rite of passage really.
and BenBen no problem on checkin out the mazda for ya before you got it, thats the great part about forums, extend your reach ALOT

I have always liked Mazdas after owning a Mazda 3 sedan 2.3 5spd, CX-9 Grand Touring, and Mazdaspeed 3. It was a toss up between a S2K and the RX8. The rebate on this RX8 car plus the discount made it a no brainer. For the price of a low milage 08/09 S2K, I have a brand new limited edition R3 version which is comparable to the S2K CR.

^^ There is a limited edition MX5 CR edition that has a black roof, red paint, and gunmetal wheels. Saw it parked out on the main road turn table display earlier today by the dealership
