Italian Car Festival - Grapevine, Texas

Heres a few snaps of the car show, im sure someone will post better/more later....mine are mostly artsy.

Its getting harder and harder to satisfy my thirst for expensive cars. If they aren't moving quickly/spitting flames they don't really hold my attention. Best of show was the Aventador and some of the older Alfas and Lancias...and an Aston parked across the street.

Gallardos, 458s, etc are a dime a dozen.

Cliffs.
1) Too hot.
2) Too many people.
3) Too many fat people.
4) Too many kids.
5) Too hot.

I'm editing through mine now. Agreed on the too many people & way too many rude kids running around; few owners were not happy about the kids getting so close.

The Aventador & the 206S were the highlights for me as was the Steve McQueen Ducati. All 3 stunning machines.

I saw a kid through her water bottle against a purdy orange Gallardo. It was awesome.

There needs to be a press/photo op set aside for a couple hour before opening and closing. In half of the 200 shots I took there are giant asses, or blurred kids faces in the shots.

So, tell me. How many people stepped directly in front of your shots? 'Cause that pissed me off.

All of them. Too many people, mang.

You and I need to get to the next one 20 or so minutes before it opens.

We'll have to give it a shot next year. I tried it last year though, & got some decent shots, but that was because a lot of folks didn't show up and I couldn't be bothered to stay the whole day, so I missed a few nice cars.

There's a little sneak of one in the DFW thread.
Just finishing up the final ones.

Jordan, you'll have to show me the proper way to do the highlighter effect some time.

A lot of my shots came out bright & somewhat unappealing. Thus, I actually ended up doing more editing than I would have liked, but about halfway through, I just decided to have fun with what I could do with.

Hi-Res is available.

A lot of my effects are a tad overdone, but as said, the shots weren't what I originally wanted, so I decided to use a few photos as starting points for a few effects I wanted to start messing with, esp. the partial color effect. Let me know if there were any that really stood out as well. Enjoy.

Those 2 white Lambo's (Countach & Aventador) are so bad ass. I absolutely love the Aventador's start button (being underneath a red switch). It should say "LAUNCH", not "Start/Stop"....
