Issue with Honda Fit

So i was installing some coilovers onto my buddies 07 Honda Fit yesterday and everything seemed to work fine. One side was higher than the other so I opened up one side of the car and matched the height. After finishing I lowered the car and had my buddy put it into reverse and park on the street. He put it into reverse and the car did not budge. He had to gas it till about 2.2k for hte car to move slowly. As soon as he let off on the gas the car would immediately halt. It would be the same in every gear, PNDR and S for sport. Any ideas on what it could be? The brakes seem to be engaged all the time even though the emergency handbrake is down.

I already posted this on the Honda Fit forums but no luck there -_-.

Sorry...but it made me chuckle that someone would actually lower a fit.

Did the parking brake cable get pulled or twisted during the install? Jack up the rear and see which wheel isnt spinning free.

If this were true, how would I loosen the piston?

Im gonna try and check that right now. It's so bizarre, the car was fine prior to me finishing and all of a sudden after I redo the height, which doesn't require much work at all, the car gets screwed up.

You would have to basically jack up the car of the stuck piston, take off the wheel, and use a C-clamp to unstick the piston.

Alright Kris, both of the rear wheels spin freely and the car moves at lower RPM's now but it still won't move automatically when put into drive/reverse.

Sometimes CV joints can become "jammed" if placed in weird positions. This is more common when someone pulls up on a stump, etc. But something to check.

I think you're right Mr. Marco because I already put back on the stock suspension and the car runs fine again...but why would Function&Form sell coilovers to Honda Fit's only to have the CV joints get jacked up? IDK what the issue was, but it was definitely the suspension that was the cause of the car not moving.

Naw it's an AT and the axle is fine, what I hate about the Honda Fit is that the axle pops out reallllllllllllllll easy. So everytime it pops out u just gotta put it back in or open up the CV boot and put it back in. Quite ridiculous.

It should be able to be lowered. My guess is like above a CV joint had maybe come apart binding it. Do it again and make sure to be very careful that they are in place correctly?

The thing is, it was fine prior to height adjustment, but once I did the height adjustment the car wouldn't move. Also to add, the coils will not bolt up if the axle is popped out. It's time like these where I wish I had a lift
