ROFL ... Another assimilation ... Resistance IS futile

That being said, I hear they are giving $7500 trunk money on 07 M Coupes. Apparently people are getting $13k+ off sticker for them.

Just in case anyone is considering a M Coupe.

Thanks. I didn't see your second post before I ran out of the office for the day.

Sedan, yes. Likely would be a 328. Have to see how the numbers work. What are dealers selling these for given the '08s are out?

Oh and what kind of facelift are we talking for '09? Worth the wait?

im not too sure about the 328, but the dealers down here aren't budging an inch on price for the 335i.. You might get lucky with an 07. When I go pick up my car tomorrow, I can ask my sales guy what you can expect to pick up an 07 328 sedan for, if you would like me to.

Local dealer says $100 over invoice on any 2007. Not so sure that's all that great of a deal.

Thats about right and what most seem to be paying for the 328i sedan. Hell you should even be able to order a 2008 for that if you dont mind buying in Chicago.

Theres still 07 328 on lots? Yikes, the 08 model came out in late September 07...

Not much has been shown about the 09 facelift, should be few minor changes to the taillights and front bumper. Nothing major.

They would have to do better

The moment you drive it off the lot, that car will be just like any other 07 out there in terms of resale value ($1 to the idiot writing this response about car depreciation )

meh... The dealer is a mile from my house. I'm growing tired of taking my Acura out to Orland Park for service. Would like to try and keep things local.

What's BMW's policy on loaner cars? Do you get one regardless of where you go, or does the dealer set the policy?

Levin still has a shload of '07, including demos. But the numbers would have to work out REALLY well. I'm not much of a car payment fan.

That's what I was afraid of...

Did you look at the dealer website? Unfortunately they don't like crap under the new cars, so I have no idea on options, etc.

Understood. I wish I had an idea on the options for each of the cars. No clue on interior color, etc.

I would at least like to know what they have before I even consider stepping foot on the lot. I'm scared of the mind-controlling drugs they put in the coffee.

I sent an email to see what's up.

That's a really good option too. Prices are reasonable, and you get the new body style with a decent engine...

Heck, getting a used 330 might be a better option than buying a new 128i even.

I have a few ideas in mind.

However, if it's going to be bought off the lot, I don't think I can be too picky.

When I picked up my 335 today, I asked my sales guy on what he thought you would be able to pick an 07 358 sedan for. He told me "If he can find one (they have not had/ nor seen an 07 in months) he should be able to get a pretty good deal on it. Being an '07 he should be able to get it for slightly over the dealer cost." I hope that help you buddy.

Talked to the dealer briefly. Considering their tone, I think they like having 2007 inventory.

Not looking good boys...

damn man that sucks.. There are 2 BMW dealers in my area. The first one I went to, I wanted to punch the guy in the face. He tried to talk down to me, and pretty much treated me like I was an idiot. I mean his main selling point of the 335 to me was the "twin exhaust". Then when I said I might be back to look into ordering one, the fucker wanted me to give him an exact time I would be there on a sat. I told him look I have other shit to do, so I cant give you a time. The best I can do is give you a time frame. He wouldn't let up "so you think 4, 4:30, 5,5:15.. I pretty much told him to fuck off. Then he had the balls to ask me for my number to make sure i was still going to come. I said " NO, you can NOT have my number, but I will take a card!" then walked to my car an left. I went to the other BMW dealer, and had a guy around my age come up and treat me as friend rather than a paycheck. I have worked with countless dealerships (subletting paint work), so I know a goos sales person when I see them. Peter (my sales guy) was one of the best car salesmen I have ever dealt with. He didn't claim to know ever single inch of the car, but if he didn't know the answer, he went and got it for me right away.. A pleasure to deal with. So, in turn I think it really comes down to who you deal with.. But best of luck scrib.

i actually went to Levin when i was looking for my car too. They were the only ones that had a 335xi at the time. I also got the feeling that they were not too eager to sell the car. They low balled me on the trade in and they wouldnt budge on the price of a 335. However, i went back a second time to them, and got another saleswoman, and she was pretty nice and helped out, the first time i got the sales manager who was a prick. I ended up getting it from perillo in chicago.

Messed up... You would think they would blow those out since the 08's are on the lots... It's unreal how some of these dealers are. They make it sould like they are doing you a favor buy selling you a car. Where you're actually doing them a favor by inquiring about their leftover inventory.

I didn't talk to him with an attitude of make me a deal and I'll buy. I really wanted to see how he approached it.

Funny thing is, on the website it says $100 over invoice. Then he tells me 'Yea, any 2007 is selling for $500 over invoice".

meh

It's a beautiful dealership. I'd love to be able to buy from them given the close proximity to my house.

I don't even want to think about what they would have offered me for my TSX.

I know you want to stay local, but Jesal and I both have good CAs that might help you out. At least they won't give you the BMW Salesguy Prick attitude.

Ahh but BMW owners have lots of money which means when one shows up without any sense they can sell the 07 at full sticker and get the extra dealer incentives for themselves

I always have shitty service when i talk to them over the phone.

Only time i can get a great deal is either in person (rarely) or emailing the internet sales manager. I always buy from the internet sales manager via email since he gets me the best prices.

Email him and tell him you found an 07 328 in Chicago for $300 under invoice and wonder if they are willing to match that since they are local. Cant hurt.

If you willing to come to chicago then i can ask my buddy if he has any 07s in stock. Last he told me they were going for $100 over invoice as well but shit that was when the 08s werent even out.
