Interesting.... Infinity G35 gets Q45 eqiv. tranny and underbody diffuser
I was reading the March R/T and C/D this weekend and noticed the G35 (I was wondering when someone would give a mini-F1 treatment to the underbody airflow (diffuser and venturi effect to keep car sucked down to the ground) going under the car and would mention slush shift info)... (I wonder if anything could be worked up for the CLS/TLS?)
I noticed that they mentioned, "...a gearbox originally designed to handle the greater torque loads of the V-8 powered Q45" will be used in the car. I wonder if this is a sign of the times *and* a sign that reads, "Please upgrade the car with lots of goodies". (Could Acura learn something from this???)
Perhaps it would be nice to see a V8 capable Acura/Honda automatic made that got used for our V6 too (or at least a blurb from Honda/Acura saying that the transmission was also designed for a bigger V8 model)!
Just an observation and thought or two...

I would not be surprised to see a 340HP V8 G45 to go against a possible V8 IS430 and the C32. Infinity and Lexus have been doing all the right things lately. Lexus will probably be the first to get there as they have already shown cocepts of the V8 ISxxx car.
Nissan/Infinity is the most aggressive auto company on the planet right now. They are going after everything setting very high goals. Good for them. They deserve to succeed.
