Integrated Radar detectors

I have read plenty of mobile radar detector reviews, BEL/Escort/Valentine. Can anyone recommend a great integrated system? I'm looking for something that looks seemless in the interior and not something mounted on the windshield and hardwired. Radar and laser detection is preferred

Everyone here will say either the Escort Passport 8500 X50, Passport 9500, or the Valentine One. Those are some outstanding radars, btw. If you want something very stealthy, I know Escort has one that blocks laser and all kinds of stuff, but its expensive (over $1K).

You can stealth mount your radar if you are creative enough. Hardwire it so you don't have the cord showing and you should be good to go.

EDIT: Here's what you might be looking for:

You will need 2 systems...
System 1, radar detection
The Escort radar systems are top notch. The K40 is not so good in my view.

System 2, laser jammer
The blinder system is top.

the radar part of the K40 isn't bad at all, I own one, but the laser diffuser part of it might not be the best out on the market...

...or do what I did and purchase the Solo S2 , which is cordless (although batteries do not last all that long).

As far as lasers, nothing will block it and nothing will detect it prior to a LEO's speed reading.

I've been burned by the k40 dash model, so I'm biased.

The blinder system has been tested & it does work. And I don't mean tested by any radar site.

It was tested by the Boca Raton FL & Palm Beach FL sheriff police. It does work very effectively. They messed with it cause to see what happens. The company that makes it is local, & it's main distributor is in Boca Raton.(cops are not dumb) In Boca they are now trained to what happens when their lasers are blocked or guns get no readings & will pull you over. They may or may not give you a ticket. If they do give a ticket it's an "estimate of unlawful speed" ticket. And it does hold up in court.

I've also seen live demo's of the blinder in action & it's a nifty device.

The dash model is cheap crap. The built-in one is bad ass and is what a lot of viper friends run. Combine that with some laser blocking and you are good to go.

It does get pricey quick though-from what I remember, the K40 installed was somewhere around $1500.

Although the V1 may be a great standalone, dash mounted radar. I am talking about integrated models here.

From what I understand, the K40 Calibre laser diffuser absorbs the laser, transmits the signal via bluetooth to the rear (or front depending on how it was shot) and shoots it out the end. Essentially the laser passes through the car and the lidar reads 0 or err.

I have the bel Vector 975 LR Remote:

http://www.beltronics.com/vector975.html

I've had it for a few years now and I love it. Nothing plugged into the cig adapter, nothing stuck to the windshield. It looks so much cleaner than a windshield set up. the sensor is mounted behind the grille and works great.

While the unit lacks the directional signals the V1 gives, I believe it does a great job of warning me of radar signals ahead in a decent amount of time.

I was torn between this unit, and the K40, with price being the main detterent to the K40, but I don't regret my purchase.

I stand corrected on the active laser jamming devices.

cl, I know you want "integrated" but as unobtrusive as a V1 can be installed w/ some creative thinking, you won't have to have it on the dash or windshield. Hardwired and installed sitting on the visor just up and in your peripheral view is perfect and from all the tests I have ever read, NOTHING beats the V1.

If a Radar detector can tell me there is a radar gun being pointed at me in enough time to react, then it works perfectly.

On the 350z site, there was a guy that did a V1 remote display installed in his mirror

As for the actual unit, you can have it setup in your rear window and hardwire it, and no one will see it (but tint your rear window).
