my brother owned a '00 black type r back in the day. he bought it after i got the CL... that fuckin car was quick! he used to ALWAYS go up to newark and drag race that thing, all he had was i/h/e and lighter flywheel and the thing was a monster...

he traded it in for the last gen 7 series and someone STOLE the itr from the dealership during a testdrive! interestingly enough, it was found stripped underneath an overpass on the turnpike

and on occasion we'll get the lowrider crews out. There have been more then a few shootings, but that happens at all our street race spots.
dang man you grew up rough if you think all street races have shootings at em. One of our spots is a old K-Mart that shut down. if it's in the summer we'll do drifting contest in the parking lot. only thing is the parking lot is starting to get busted up. so you hit one of those at 40-50 mph sideways it will fawk with you car.

My wife and I own an 97' ITR w/ mods. dollar for dollar it is the shit. I love the handling the power the sound. Everything. It is one bad factory car.

As far as someone comparing it to an RSX "Please don't even go there" they aren't even in the same league. The ITR is a streetable race car. It's not supposed to be refined

Sorry, It frustrates me when it is compared to the RSX. They are both nice but, the ITR is all around out of the box better.

If your going to look at trying to get an ITR motor that is great but, the chassis is totally different so it won't be as rigid. On the other hand you will have One Honda's best engineered engines in your car.

Insurance is kinda bad but, oh well I guess that's the price we pay for having one of the rarest Honda's out there other than the NSX. That's why people like to steal them so much. I hate that to cause it makes me so paranoid about it every night.

I say just do it and get an ITR, but $24k is outrageous... Tell them to shove it up their ASS........

Anyway, ATXCLS thought I would like this thread.. He was right.

Thanks for all the replies. I think someone will steal it even before the dealer try to sell it for $24K. Greatest FWD ever made!!!

Nah bro..They learned their lesson, they already had one stolen from there that they kept outside. Now they keep them inside..If you don't mind payments I would get it, as you can see you will definately enjoy it.

Three of my friends have ITRs, so I'm quite familiar with them. I love those things.

I would love to get one and make it a track car.
