yea RWD isn't as bad as i thought. I used to drive with somebody who had an s2000 with snow tires. Not bad for light snow....sleet, freezing rain the car was useless. If yuppie lived closer south then i would say not worry.

That's the point I was getting at, I don't think anyone should be driving when 28inches is in the forecast...nothing is that important imho. Also, if it snows like that maybe 3-4 times out of a year. That certainly wouldn't have a major impact on what car I ended up with.
RWD cars with snow tires are fine when it snows 5-8 inches....get's you out of poorly plowed backroads and once you get on the main roads you're fine.

I’ve had quite a few close calls myself with other drivers in the snow.

Depends of area.
If we moved about 30-miles, we could pay nearly half the amount.

Base - ~$26k. Cheapest, but doesn't have many useful options like HID's, LSD, traction control, etc.
Enthusiast - ~$28k. This is the model I have. It's a very good value, but you give up a few things; It has HID's, LSD, Traction control, aluminum petals, auto dimming mirrors
Performance - ~$31k; Adds 18 inch rims, Stability control and optional Navi.
Touring - ~$32k; Adds Leather seats, bose stereo, seat heaters, electric seats, optional Navi
Track - $34k; Adds Aero kit (available on all others as an option), lightweight 18" rims, and Brembo brakes; Doesn't have leather or Bose available.
