Impound lots
Impound lots
Can someone school me on impound lots, specifically town or i guess, municipal ones? Every weekend, when I drop my recycling off, I pass the impound lot. For the past 5 months now, there has been an SRT-10 truck there, quad cab, without a scratch. Hasn't moved, and the weeds have grown up around it almost higher than the truck. Do these cars usually go to auction? Why would it be in a town impound lot? How can I find out if it will be eventually auctioned (i.e public notice, calling town, etc.)?
Thank you!
Thank you!
just walk in and ask the office i bought a 98 ls integra for 1k from the guy i don't have title to it but i have an entire integra for parts.
Or i can wait 3 more months file for one.

I'd think after 5 months it would be getting close. I can't imagine that impound fee
atleast 3-4 grand.

is it a town owned impound lot or towing company lot?
most of the impound lots around here are towing company lots.
i'd go into the building(presuming its a tow company) that this impound lot that is near and ask them them how soon they'll have this car up for sale if the owner doesn't pick it up.
they'll probably give you a date then when ever the next auction is after that date go to the auction and bid on the car.
