I'm back in an Acura!

I owned a 2001 CL Type S for 3 years and LOVED it! I traded it in on my 2003 Cobra vert and I missed the luxury and comfort of my CL. I went through a bunch of cars in order to keep my Cobra my weekender...a 89 Cutlass, a 96 Accord and most recently, a 06 F150.

I bought my F150 used for $18,900 in August of 08 when gas prices were high. I went to the Acura dealer by me and looked at the 2010 TSX and loved it. Its the perfect mix of luxury, performance, size and gas milage. I ended up working a deal in which I got $17,800 for my truck on trade which made it like I got $19,500 for the truck and I got a hell of a deal on the TSX, so I couldn't pass it up. I get it tomorrow....I can't wait.

Neither V6 or 4 can be considered a "performance" car but he also talked about gas mileage so i dunno

Its the 4 cyl., but you have to realize that this 4 banger feels like riding a lightning bolt compared to the truck. I like the paddle/sport shift mode too. If I have the need for speed, I have 450hp of supercharged Cobra ready to rock.

Sweet. I sat in a V6 in the dealer showroom on Saturday. I'm quite tempted to trade in my 04.

I noticed the extra leg room in the back seat. Pretty big difference compared to the 1G, which is a nice thing. Even at 5'6", I feel a little cramped in the back of my 04.

Yeah, don't mod your TSX. You got the Cobra for the need for speed.

Again, congrats!

I'm sure it will be the PERFECT dd.
No mods to this car.....may wheels and tint, but that would be it.

Maybe a Whipple or Hellion Turbo kit for the Cobra next year.

My 04 has been a great DD. I'm sure you will be very pleased with your '10. All the updates since 04 must be really nice, too. I don't even have heated side mirrors or an aux input for my iPod. Really wish I had the latter.

None of the cars I've owned have had cool features like this car. This is....by far....the most advanced car I've owned. I've always loved Acuras. My dad has owned 4 RLs my Mom has had 2 (her 01 has 83K trouble free miles), My sister bought an 08 TL last year....the service is great....how can I go wrong!

That's surprising to me.

It feels like every time I went to Acura dealership to get some service done, I end up yelling at them with f word in every sentence.

But yeah, my 05 TL had been trouble free for +80K miles. It had been a GREAT vehicle to me.

Again, enjoy the cool features!

Really? I've had nothing but five years of great service from my Acura dealer.

I'm actually going to stop using the private shop I used to swap my wheels every spring & fall because:

A) They lost one of my lug nuts last year and I didn't tell me, I found out when I got home. I didn't bother to call and talk to them because I figured they would never find it in their shop. I never got around to replacing the lug, low and behold the stud rusted out, leaving me with a repair bill - the dealer found it and fixed it on Saturday while I was there for my wheel swap.

B) It cost me $59.95 to swap wheels at my dealer, and $88 at the private shop. Service is cheaper (and 100x better) at the dealer.....WTF

Congrats on the TSX! I love the look of the new one better than the old one. It's a great "beater". As far as having the I4, you are right, you do have 450 hp on tap with the 'stang.
