If you are running on 18 inch Racing Hart C2 Evos

I just wanted to find out how much more did you add with a spacer in order to fit the rim so that it doesn't rub on the front brake calipers? The offset on the rims is + 42. my car is lowered with eibach prokits.

I've had these wheels. You will need to have a very thin spacer for the front wheels in order to ensure caliper clearance.

These wheels are in no way associated with Racing Hart.

I got the exact same setup as you . The rim is very very close to the caliper but it doesn't touch it u can barely slide a credit card through thats how much space there is between the caliper and the wheel . You'll be fine with out the spacer .

Yes... until you get new front brake pads. And then you will find that you can't put the wheels back on the car.

Makes for an interesting experience.

Be sure to bring spacers to the shop when you have to get new pads!

I had these on my 3.0 and the clearence was so minimal it was unbelievable. You could barely fit a piece of paper in between the caliper and the wheel. But I never had an issue. I've seen the same setup on the 2nd gens and it's the same thing. But I have never heard of anyone having an issue.

The thing I miss is that my brakes stayed cooler w/ my C2's then my CP-10's.

never ever heard of such a thing. The caliper doesn't expand or anything when you put new pads on. The size of pad that's left doesn't determine how big the caliper is. The caliper is solid and isn't going to move anywhere w/ new pads or old.

You'd be amazed at how many people tried to tell me exactly that.

But I kept thinking... the rotor is the only part that truly doesn't move in the brake assembly (other than rotate). So, something has to make room for a new brake pad. You'll notice that when your pads wear, there isn't any 'slack' in the caliper assembly, and a completely worn pad is at least 1/2 inch thinner than a new one. So where does the room for the brand new pad come from?

The outside (and inside for that matter) side of the caliper outward to accomodate the larger new pad.

I even had a guy who I consider an expert tell me this crap about nothing moving. So thinking I couldn't possibly know more than a mechanic that does this for a living, took my car to the dealer without spacers. Ooops. I'm sure they enjoyed having my car on the rack for an extra 3 hours while I drove around town (in my wife's car) trying to scare up some spacers.

If that's not enough, then just watch the gap between your wheel and caliper grow over time as the pads wear... that was the telltale sign that I noticed but decided to ignore because people kept telling me 'nothing moves in the caliper assembly.' Ha ha, jokes on me.

You were probably the one who tried to tell me that!

I've been working on cars for some time now, I've even built them from scratch and I have never heard of such a thing. You may be right, and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt
