Ford GT
Buick Grand National
McLaren F1
Porsche 959
I can think of a lot more that I would like to own when they originally were sold, but now are inferior technology.

I don't feel the new 6-series is a replacement for the 8.
oh and I didn't spell it out on page 1 but my first request was Supra TT

Are we saying "What car can we bring back from the dead...any make/model"
Or are we saying " what dead car can we bring back from the dead into a modern status"
Because M3s are still around, The M coupe is coming back, there is a stilla lexus SC....you guys follow me?

The new Mcoupe is an improvement over the squared off back mcoupes IMHO...
I like the idea of BMW making a new 2002... I'd has hoped that the 1 series would come to america as a M2 (1 series w/ some balls)... But the 1 series isn't "boxy" enough like the original e10's...
The New Mcoupe is pretty close to what I'm looking for in a car. Coupe, RWD, around 3000 lbs, and halfway decent looking (I'm not totally into the bangle design). BUT the price of admission is a little much...
I was looking into the older Mcoupes to see what the resale is, and noticed that they have some subframe issue that I have to research more...

the subframe issue was kindof a cary over from the 3 serries/m3 from the mid 90's, It usually only shows up in cars that were tracked or modified (rear suspension stiffened, then the metal around the mounts becomes the weakest link)
Anywho, I wouldn't be too worried about it in a well maintained/babied car, there is also a fix for it, which involves taking your car apart, heh.

Being a relatively old guy, I've had a few years to own and enjoy numerous automobiles. I've been fortunate enough to own cars such as Shelby GT500's to 911's, but the car I have always enjoyed the most has been the 86-87 Buick Grand National. Since 1986 I've owned five of them and still have my original 1986 with under 2000 miles and 1987 drag car. The GN/Turbo Regals were Detroit's last kick at a true muscle car. Seats five, midsize, and very fast. They were crude, poorly built and expensive to maintain, but the world quite literally got yanked backwards when stomping on the throttle. My drag car runs 10's and the original 86' still runs down the track low thirteens with only drag radials and an engine not yet really broken in. I don't know if Detroit will ever produce a car like it again, but I'll certainly buy it if they ever did.
The 86. Original and unmolested. Less than 2000 miles on the odometer.

OK...so now that my question was answered...if you bothered to read. These cars don't count...They are still in production even though they are newer models.
I dont know if the Legend should count either since it became the RL...Legend Coupe, yes, I'll let that one slide.

For the 1997 model year, Porsche produced the most exclusive road going 993 of all and what became the last air-cooled 911 Turbo - the Turbo S. Based on the standard Turbo, the Turbo S (pictured below) was enhanced with a number of special features.
Outside were Aerokit II front and rear spoilers, brake cooling ducts alongside the front indicators and engine cooling scoops carved out from the rear fenders. Inside, Porsche equipped each car with a carbon fibre instrument panel, carbon door inserts and door pulls. Special 18-inch Technology wheels fronted distinctive yellow brake calipers, Turbo S scripting being found on the rear deck lid, wheel centres, door threshold panels and steering wheel. Mechanically, the 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six was pumped up to 424bhp making it the firm's most powerful production engine yet.
