^^^ why can't you stand the rpms at 80mph?
I remember in my integra gs-r at 80mph in 3rd gear you'd only be at 6000K and still have another 2300 rpm to go before you hit redline.
the true power of the car is above 6K rpm which is when the vtec kicks in.

Way to overpriced for that. Its nice but its not that nice, not by a long stretch. For 18k go buy a a used 00-02 S2k, and get 50% more performance, 100% more fun, and 200% better looks.

Seems like a decent deal to me... I'm sure someone out there will be willing to pay the premium for the low mileage...
Cars only have under 5K miles ONCE...
Some people will always be willing to pay extra for a low mileage museum quality garage queen

lol i know what u mean...when i had a R tranny in my civic at 80 i think i was around 4-4.5k..and in my gsr tranny i think i was at 3k..something like that. But i loved the short gears on the R and even in 5th gear with the RPM being so high i hardly had to downshift to pass. But wit a apexi n1 or something similar it gets annoying very quick

You’ve obviously never driven an ITR then. I”ve driven many bitchin cars in my life, high HP Vettes, Viper, Porsches, a bunch of really bitchin classics, etc.
An ITR I drove w/ stock motor and full suspension is still in my top 5. There is a reason around the world there are guys w/ huge collections but their track car will be an ITR or CTR. It is far from just an integra.
IMHO, this is a steal for this car. It will most likely be bought by someone who will put very few miles on it.

I think I may to revise my postion on the ITR given CLPower's comments. I knew it was a hardcorre stripped down machine, but had no idea it was that good.

In the type r i was running 80mph at 4.5k. I loved the car but I like to be able to downshift on the freeway without hitting vtec.
That does not mean I wouldnt take a type r as a weekend car. I'd love to be able to afford another car to run around with. My problem was I was commuting 150 miles a day.

I love the ITR, and yes to those who haven't driven it you will NEVER understand what its like. Its not all about the power, let me tell you that. I've driven several cars as well and nothing comes close to the thrills I've had with this car. Thats why its a keeper! The price seems a little less compared to what they usually go for. These cars still sell for over $20k, very close to what the purchase price was. Talk about holdin its value. And to those of you that thing its just an integra; ohhhhh you're so poorly mistaken!

One of my close friends just bought a 99 black type R with 40,000 miles. He paid close to 25,000... it was modded quite a bit.
He was driving it home in 100 + degree weather through the desert and the car died on him. He had it towed back to the stealership where they diagnosed the car and came to the conclusion that the motor needed a new head.
They offered to pay for his hotel and stay but he decided to return the puppy and pick up an EVO IX RS
He paid a couple more grand and got a brand new car with a whole lot more power and a whole lot more handling.
He said one of the best decisions he ever made regarding purchasing a car...

^^^ when buying used integra (type r or not) you have to be very careful to see just how much modding is done, and if the owner claims that none was be very suspicious (depending on the owner of course)

I just spent about 1/2 hour browsing the honda-market forums... I feel dirty now
But I did notice a few ITR's with in the same price range with average mileage on 'em...
I want a yellow ITR now

Maybe the 4300 miles are track miles Which might account for the price...

the BEST front wheel front engine handling car out there!
but even being an FF dont underestimate.. it will out-maneuver many FR/MR/AWD sports cars out there
the suspension setup is definitly insane, plus the sheer lightness of the car.. for those that havent driven this car, you MUST give it a go. it'll blow your minds. it just grips and grips, enough to the point where it feels like your being sucked into the road! similar feeling as those pitch-in hard turns on a roller coaster ride!
i think that price is a killer awesome price. freakin untouched too! so clean.. wow. think about this then, would you buy a brand new civic Si for 20,000 or that 8 year old ITR for 18,500 with only 4,300 miles?
just the exclusitivity alone should answer that question..
