I have no sympathy for the owner. This was just plain stupid. Even the guy video taping the incident immediately started saying "I knew it".

 

From looking at the video, I don't think think she knew how to drive a manual either.

She obviously couldn't handle the power just from that chirp in the parking lot. Sucks for her and for him. He should have taught her how to drive the car with him in it before letting her go off on her own like that.

 

For what it's worth, if that car actually was a 67' then it is definitley not a Shelby. Ol' Shel didn't have his name on the cars he helped design until he got together with Ford using the Mustang body. If the car you see in the video was indeed an actual 67' then it was an AC Cobra.

Taint real. Look at the damage, it looks like fiberglass to me where the breakage is.
The real ones were aluminum...
