Idiot on the road today...

I pull up to a red light and a blue Cavalier, with rims, and a coffee can exhaust is next to me. The exhaust wasnt loud or anything like that. Light turns green so we go. Im doing my normal acceleration, though a little peppier than normal bacause it is an open road (no entrances and exits) and I am familiar with it.
It has been a light drizzle all day.
So as I pull ahead and the Cavalier races up to my front fender and pulls back. He does this twice. The car behind me meanwhile is gaining on my bumper. So I mashed the pedal about halfway, it downshifts and I blow ahead of that pack nicely.
As I approach the bend up ahead at about 60, I see the blue Cavalier weaving and trying to gain me and pull out of his pack.
As I come out of the turn I look in my rear view and homeboy got sideways in the turn, spins around and was in the grass, going in reverse. LUCKILY... none of the cars behind him got in his way or ran into him.
I mean, was this guy such an idiot that he felt it was so important to catch up to me, or even mess with the car behind me? By the time he spun out, the car that was behind me was behind the blue Cavalier and the Chevy was about 5-6 car lengths behind me.

Just a pure idiot!

Anyone else get unwanted attention from other cars on the street? I mean, I was on the phone with my sister and was not looking for a race. I just wanted to get ahead to get into the right (slow) lane.
Anybody have any stories of being challanged to race by a worthless POS while you are just trying to relax and get home?

Happens to me all the time...people pull up on the side of my car and stare in my windows trying to see what I have in it and start revving thier engines thinking that'll get my attention...and then they weave in and out of traffic and get in wrecks and almost kill themselves trying to get me to race them...usually during rush hour when I'm tired and just trying to get home from work

then again, I didn't buy this car to fit in with the crowd...

I was at a stoplight stopped next to an older 540. The street turns a bit to the left after the stoplight, so once we both went on green , he must have had his tcs off or somethin and spun out into a tree. I saw all this in my rearview and made a U turn to go back and help. Guy was pissed off and told me to F*ck off when i wanted to help him out of his wrecked car. Poor 540

I was on Bathurst St. and doing 60 km/h which was the speed limit at the area. Suddenly, a red Civic with coffee can and lowered hieght pulls right on my ass, just as if it were to crash into me. I maintained 60 km/h since i wasnt in a mood, it was rush hour too! So, the Civic pulls beside me, stared at me, and tried to push me into on-coming lane. I slammed the brake, that bitch got into my lane. And he moved to third lane (I was on first lane) and since he almost got me in anccident, i shifted to 2nd gear, the engine revved upto around 4000 to 5000 rpm... And we got stuck on a trafficlight... After it tunrned to green, he floored the car, cutting everyone on the road. I really couldnt afford any accedent to happen to either any of us (me or the bitch) so didnt gun the car.. (Even though It was goddamn tempting me too).. What an Ass....
