Ideas for a new car.

Thinking a of a few cars that will satisfy these requirements:

-Leather Interior
-Good performance (1/4mi time of 14.5 or better)
-It has to be new
-Priced below $500 a mo.
-Lease or Finance

My current competitors are:

TSX V-6, probably the safest bet here, the peformance is there along with the fuel economy and luxury. I drove a 2006 TL and I feel this would be a solid replacement.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8, better performance than the TSX, would probably be just as reliable. How does the M/T transmission hold up? Should I opt for the A/T just to be safe?

I believe the 335i would be out of my price range, the same goes for G37 CPO. I did notice that non-CPO G37s were around 28K used for the 2008 MY, that caught my interest. But I'd prefer a new car, no dings, no scratches, and I don't have to worry about upcoming maintenance.

Your requirements are fairly broad, ranging from a Toyota Camry V6 to a BMW 335xi.

time to go test drive and decide
leasing is not for me-drive too many miles.
All the vehicles I own have manual transmission but it seems to be more problems with automatic
have owned and still own hyundai's our 03 sonata had it's transmission (automatic) was replaced under warranty with less than 4,000 miles. The automatic transmission on my mom's 08 honda accord was replaced under warranty with less than 10,000 miles.
Take your time-you will get lots of opinions but in the end get what you want since you will be driving it.

Volkswagen CC does the 1/4 in 14.5 @ 98mph for the VR6 model.

They are having 0% financing on 2010s.

You're like a younger version of NJ SHAWD, going through cars so quick

I'd give the TSX V6 a good look, maybe even the Sonata. Call me crazy but, what about the new Charger?

CPO A4, but I don't know how much those are to lease.

Go test drive a bunch of models and see which ones you like

335 is a risk because of the HPFP issue.

Just get a superior Acura product....you'll never be wrong.

I'm not of fan of high torque, never got into having to muscle out the car to keep it under control, know what I mean? Otherwise I would be in a new Mustang.

The CC is also around 40K, IIRC.

a G37 without navi should come out to be about $410 per month (on a lease, with $0 down)

I've actually reconsidered part of my intial thought process, the idea now is that I'll be financing the vehicle.

This will effectively put the G37 out of my price point by a significant margin, $120 more a mo/ with a base sticker of nearly 7K more.

Although $120 a mo/ seems inconsequential, $600 or so a mo in car payments is staggering when added to other bills.

You also mention the Mustang V6/V8, it is a great car, awesome exterior styling and the interior is passable. The issue is that there are so many iterations of the Mustang that you can't even find the one you want. Also IIRC the Mustang only offers a 5Spd A/T for the V6, and the V8 is way to much power for myself to be having, especially since this will be my first RWD vehicle.

I've read review after review of owners and they all loved their car. I only found that people agreed that the Track edition offered a bit of a stiff ride, which I am used to, I enjoy driving in the Civic Si that my brother has. Plus I had a TL with stiffer springs which I still thought was a pleasure to drive.

It seems that both the 2011 V6 and the V8 come with either a 6sp/AT or a 6sp/MT.

Does it have to be brand new? I bet you could finance a CPO G37 for your budget.

What about a Subie WRX or a Ralliart?

I can't say much for the V6 but I drove the 2.0T Gen Premium and I wasn't pleased at all, the drive was boring/slow and the interior felt very cheaply done. It is a nice car to look at but I'd take the Civic Si over the 2.0T Gen if I was looking for a $25k car again.

and the 2011 Mustang V6 has a Manual Transmission. I never drove it but I've driven the 5.0 and it's nice.

Those were also taken into consideration, but I felt that the Hyundai excelled versus the Ralliart for two reasons, interior (Leather v. Cloth) and Stock Performance (306hp v 234hp).

The WRX is a great performer and it looks sharp as well especially the 2011 sedan, but with a outdated 4spd A/T option and a fragil 5spd M/T, it was ruled out.

My older brother has one, it's nice but the CVT kills it.

Exactly, no dings or scratches to worry about moreover I won't have to worry about service later on, i.e. 40K services and 60K services, etc.

I will be purchasing the track version of the Genesis Coupe, which offers Brembo brakes and stiffer springs, I think the ride will be rather fun.

I know there is, yet I don't know how to do it.

Also, I hope I can get into something tomorrow, I have searched through Hyundai inventories for hours and it seems that I may have difficulty finding a V6 Track Auto in either White, Blue, Yellow or Red.
