The car is SO NICE!!

i think it looks pretty damn good, and the interior is so freakin nice i cant believe it.. it has a sporty touch, but remains very classy. the 14 speakers sound system/DVD system is awesome, the center console looks very nice, and the seats are just so damn comfy!

I'm in love with the car... and my dad's considering buying one to replace his '04 TL! I hope he buys it so i can steal it away from him

I love that car. I'd take a 545i over one just because of the 6 speed. I still think the back looks butt ugly though, but still one of my favorite cars in that segment. On the other hand, the new BMWs have gotten uglier too.

 

M45 is definately a hottie!

The pictures dont do the car any justice. This car is pure sex on wheels from every angle. I sold my CL-S to my brother a few weeks ago to make room for one of these . I test drove it in March and fell in love with it. The motor is so smooth and the transmission is tuned just right. Interior is awesome, specially the nav system. I did not like the center mounted control nob but i think i will get use to it. I loved the rear entertainment system, you can watch DVDs on it and the navigation system as well, not that i will be sittin in the back but it comes in handy sometimes . The front navi unit can be used to watch DVDs as well, but only when the car is not moving . To make a long story short, I am taking delivery, in the second week of june, of an M45 Sport Blk/Blk with Navi, Journey package, Mobile Entertainment package, Technology Package and the factory body kit . Following are the a few pictures of what my car would look like.

The first time I saw this car was in person, not pictures. Unless the M35 looks different from the M45. I love the way it looks from the side, just can't stand the back, even in person. I'd still take it over an RL though, it's a great car.

I know it comes down to personal taste, but I have tried to be as critical concerning the back as i can be just to see if i can make myself hate it, but i just couldnt .

I like everything about the car except for the back end. The way the rear windows have that extra little piece, I think it looks funny. But styling is subjective. Of course, if my dad owned that machine I'd drive it every time I got the chance, unless I had to pay for gas on that V8

I think the M45 sport prices out to $73 000 or something without options added. And there's no AWD. The M35x is more reasonable at $53 000 or so. If he can afford the M45 without too much trouble it's worth it, the fuel economy is almost the same as the V6 AWD version.

 

The car is a winner, in mag tests and in sales. Infiniti hit a grand slam.

But I personally prefer the 545's styling and with its soon to be world beating 362Hp from the new 4.8L.

 

Interesting. 545 is nice , i must say, but personally i think the M is better .

I got told by the dealership that nismo will offer headers and exhaust in the future for the M. Lets see what kind of a difference would they make

Car and Driver did a "Best cars you can buy for 55000$ USD" thing. M45 came out #1. It beat all the rest, 5-series, A6, Benz E series, RL, Lexus GS.. all of them!! I actually drove one! Only the M35 though. It's one hell of a car. It's so nice inside and out. Only thing I personally don't like: The car is kinda BIG. But all in all, its an amazing car... omg, the torque is just neck snappingly pleasant

 

I'd take the 545 too, not because of the styling though. I really think BMW went a step backwards with it. I'd take it because of the 6 speed and the power, besides everything else they offer. I believe a magazine ran a 13.7 or 13.8 with the auto 545. Pretty impressive.

 

I wouldn't have thought the 530 would stand a chance against those cars

 

Road & Track has the M45 vs GS430 vs 545 in June's issue with the M coming out on top. It was the best blend of luxury and performance splitting the difference between the performance oriented 545 and the luxurious GS but of course cheaper than both.

Nah.. The 530 is weak... 225hp... It was the weakest of the whole fleet actually... And they said they might be telling a whole different story if they drove the 545. They said the 545 didn<t quality cuz it was way over 55000$

I hope that the lease payments on an M35x, in say, 12 months, is around $600 a month. That would be really swell, swell enough for me to get one. Wishful thinking.

 

They lease out well even now, the residuals are high on the Mseries and the last time I checked the rates are good as well.

only issue with that car is the 5AT, why not a 6AT if its gonna be an Auto. I'd buy it over anything in its class.

 

or 6MT, if they offered that car in a manual tranny i would definitely put it on a list of next cars to check out.

I don't like how it has some obvious styling cues from a maxima. That's the one thing I can't get passed with the M45. Other than that, its got a lot going for it.

 

I think it's SCC's best car under 60k. RL comes second.

 

Anyone know what size, offset, & bolt pattern the stock rims for the M45 have??????

i love black cars, but i think i would steer away from that color for the m45 solely bc it makes the reverse lights stick out like a sore thumb. i would try my best to make those oddly placed lights as unnoticable as possible.

hm i actually test drove both the RL and the M35x/45. i liked the M series, but the options and everything it just comes out to too much. the 45's power doesnt feel that great. the V8 is awesome but its not much of an improvement above the nissan's awesome VQ's.. the V6 actually feels more like a V8. its a quiet and nice ride, but i still liked the RL better. the whole ergonomics, interior feel, and in terms of looks.. i just liked it alot better. the RL has a more cleaner look, easy to use "iDrive" copy, and the interior is just alot more classy and subtle. the exterior isnt so bulky like the maxima plus the RL just looks alot sleeker and cleaner.. i just love how you can get everything (SH-AWD, NAVI..) all in one package. $49,000. the M35x has the awd but it doesnt have the navi feature and all the other little bonuses included in the package.. unless you upgrade to the sports package which just jacks the price up..

but definitly, to each his own. i got a real hands on experience with both cars. equal time, went to the warehouse, checked out all color schemes, interior feel, everything and i just thought the RL was alot nicer.

 

Saw a red one going 405S. I usually like how it looks. But the taillights just looked so ridiculously huge.
