I want a eat a v8 Lexus bad
Who has raced a Lexus SC 400 - 430 or a GS 400 - 430? They all post qt. mile about 14.3 to 14.6 in reach of our type S. Would intake and mufflers give me an edge or am i fast enough stock to run one? I have buddies with IS 300, 5 speed SC 300 and I kill them in my CL typeS. I heard a few guys say I should be able to take this v8 Lexus. At least hang with them.
Iheard they had a post on www.clublexus.com in their racing section, but it has been erased to stop us from seeing the Lexus get beat

Headers, intake, and tires. Then go gs400 hunting. 430 would just be all that much more dificult.
And yes we all saw the post of the type-s beating the GS.

My father-in-law owns an SC430 and I can pull on him through 100MPH. But this is ever so slightly. I do get him off the line easily as they launch slooowww (TC or something is a dog).
But if, when from a roll, he gets the jump on me it takes some time to reel him in if I can.
But the typical view from the SC430:
And even more typical view, little gold spot way up in the distance

Yeah but Scalbert, if I had an SC430, I wouldn't give a shit about who was passing me. I'd be too busy looking at that beautiful birdseye maple. Yeah real wood.

Goodluck, sc430 maybe, but gs 400, doubtful. I think it is still the fastest front drive car on the market. Intake headers and exhaust will gie you oh......maybe ten to the wheels. Not to much help. And headers will give you top end but lose alot of low end.Goodluck if you find one...and god sped!

Firstly all the lexuses mentioned are rear wheel drive. Secondly a gs400 weighs over 3800 pounds so don't get your hopes up for the lexus. I raced a gs400 with subs and 2 people in my car and pulled over a car length four times in a row last week.

Your talking about a car that posts 1/4 mile times of .06 to .09 faster than our car. That would take a lot of work to knock even a half of sec of quarter. Didn't mean to say fd, but hey, the way I see it, does it make a performance diff? Maybe it does, I just have no idea wheather it does or not.

Explain to me how it would be hard to beat that car? .06 to .09 faster than our car...
you think 0.06 of a second makes a difference, the street is the street my friends, i ripped them up 4 times in a row...

Secondly, if you do not know if RWD or FWD is better for acceleration then maybe you should take better care in deciding which topics are better suited for you input
