2 rotors (ceramic)
2 pads
1 engine mount (I dont know what this is but apparently its 190 plus 132 labor)
Transmission fluid leaking so they replaced the pan? Basically he said its to replace the botton pan I guess of the transmission which means he is changing the filter and the fluid...
$900
I am driving to DC/Baltimore so I just went and got a check up and thats what they found.
99 TL 111000 miles
I know this is supposed to be in car talk but theres a billion people in here and I need the answer quick.

Yes I consented already but I need to know if I need not bring my car back to this place anymore. Cause last time I went it was $1100 for 4 tires, alignment, transmission flush, oil change, and whatever comes with a standard 100000 mile service.
this makes $2600 I have put into this car since Aug 2004...I guess not too bad

I guess its not too bad. When I had my CL I bought a set of aftermarket rotors from a group buy and then had them installed with pads and it was about $400. So adding on the price of the rotors, and then the other stuff you are getting done I would say its not too much of an ass-raping, maybe just an unlubed one!

I got my 2 rotora rotors and pads installed for $70 - which isnt typical either.
I think a fair price would have been around $200 or so.

BTW they said the rotors (99 bucks) pads (79 bucks) each
Edit:
I guess I never questioned it and blamed myself because I had the car since Aug 2004 and all I did was change the oil, no alignment, no service and I have driven 60,000 miles on it. Yeah Yeah I know I am a fucking idiot but I am not a car guy...hence the reason I come here.

It sucks you got ripped off, but at least you have the knowledge to go somewhere else next time. Live and learn, we've all been ripped off at least once.

it's not HORRIBLE, it's a tad pricey
in retrospect, new OEM rotors for my GTO are $600 for the fronts
You figure the dealer charges $90 an hour (sometimes more, sometimes less) and their computer probably tells them it's 1-2 hours a side, so that's anywhere from $200-360 for install. Whether it takes them 30 minutes doesn't matter, they go by what the book shows.
Hence why some techs make a RIDICULOUS amount of money and can log 200+ hours worth of work in a 60 hour work week.

So I tell my parents its gonna be $900 then my mom says "OH yeah your cousin just moved from New York he is a manager at Olin Mott" FUCK ME!!!!!!!!!!! So I call him, he says he would do it all for $450 FUCK!!!!!! So I go to get my car...they are done FUCK!!!!!!! Only decent thing is before I could ask about the pan he says "Oh yeah sorry theres no pan, it was just the seal around the cap thats leaking" So it drops to $855
99 (each) pads
79 (each) rotors
23 inspection
(I forgot how much exactly labor was on the brakes but you can subtract and guess)
80 Bleed and flush brake lines
190 engine mount
132 labor on engine mount

I guess you were time constrained by wanting to make your trip but usually things can wait a week or so till you shop around... def sounds a bit pricey
Does it make sense to just get brembo rotors and bring it to the dealer? If they are going to charge as much as brembos, I might as well pick up something of substantially higher quality, no?
That price sounds high, but I believe it.

on your specific repairs compared to one of Mazda's....
Brake Job, 189.95 (includes pads, resurfacing of rotors and labor)
Rotors 89.95 each so 180.00 total(of course if they cant be resurfaced)
Total brake job $279.90
(this is for either front or rear, if you did all 4 wheels then multiply this by 2)
Motor mount or Engine mount (same thing)
Average cost might be between 78.00 to 145.00 (of course we got some for 200 and up). But lets say Acura has better engine mounts than mazda so lets make it
Engine Mount $ 190.00
Labor 135.00
Making this be $325.00
Tranmission pan leaking:
Our gaskets run about 54.00
Silicon Tube 31.95
Labor 180.00-225.00
Total $285.25
Grand total at a Mazda dealer around $890.15
So its not bad, lucky you aint got many oil leaks, lol..
Hope this helps..

The kind of work that was done, didn't require an Acura dealer. If anything I'll take my car in for warranty items. The cost of those pads was almost double what they are worth. The only thing I think I'd let them touch is the motor mounts and even then there is an independent honda/acura toyota/lexus shop in my area that can do all factory maintenance and replace almost all OEM parts for like $65/hr as opposed to $90+/hr. You should consider finding one in your area before using the dealership.

Sounds like a typical stealership price.
On another note - Why is it people ask for advice when its too late.

Are you sure that's what they did with the tranny?
