I hate cars

I can remember a certain 5.4 F150 that would do 13.9-14.0. The old 351 Lightning wasn't too bad either.

I am a huge GM fan but the only truck I can think of that would run those times (and quicker) stock were the Sy/Ty. Even the SS was a big disappointment in straight line acceleration.

If we're talking about a new 5.0 F150, then yes. It's a 7 second truck. I'm sure the motor is great but a 2.5 ton stock truck isn't gonna hang with my car...especially when aerodynamics come into play.

It's not a drag strip monster but it's pretty fast for what it is.

I was originally gonna buy a 05 Yukon with 115k miles for $12.5k
but then the NEW durango came out
and then my wallet got thinner
so I ended up with TL - not bad, I think.

american V8 FTW!! I like GM and love mopar lol. just don't like to see ford going turbo and OHC.
If honda ever decides to make a V8, it should be an OHV, high revving like LS7, and mod-proof like 6.1 HEMI.

The 6.1 Hemi is EXTREMELY mod-friendly....you are thinking of the new 6.4...which they have trouble with because of rolling codes...but so far, one performance shop has managed to get one supercharged and tuned.

And i'll toss Yukon boy two more trucks that'll spank his love toy...and they are from 98 and 2001...

1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.9...and the Dodge Durango RT with the 5.9....In addition to the Ford Lightning.

and well sounds great! now they finally modded 6.4

I'm just taking a rain check until I'm completely settled down (it's just my excuse for waiting for 15 'Cuda )

btw, do you know which one cracked the 6.4 PCM??

Ah, yes....those engines are pretty damn bulletproof. I only have the lowly 5.7...but its beefy as well. Hard to hurt.

I'm STILL waiting to hear a legitimate reason as to how a Ford Triton is superior to a GM Vortec....STILL!!! Once I"m refuted and shown I'm wrong, I'll gladly shut up.
