Actually this story isnt bashing them.

Cop was behind me following me. Of course i made sure i stopped at everylight and did the speed limit.

Got to a HUGE intersection with a 4-way stop sign. 8 cars in all directions get to the stop signs. So im watching to see when my turn is. I went at the same time as the SUV in the other direction went but she was turning in front of me. Oops.

I continue straight... few blocks that cop turns her lights on. Pulls me over and tells me that SUV had the right of way. Alright i wont argue and she sounded as if she was just going to give me a warning. But then i couldnt find my insurance card.

She says she had to give me a ticket for the insurance card, which i understood. Then she pauses and says she has to give me a ticket for the intersection/stop sign since she needed a reason to pull me over on file.

I threw a hail mary and asked if she can give me a ticket for no front plate instead since its not a moving violation. She looked in front then agreed and said she will just do that.

Sure i could be sitting here bitching but things could have been worse. Being nice and polite DOES pay off sometimes.

I just go to court and show them proof of insurance (the card) and then that ticket gets dropped.

I show a picture of the car with the front plate and then that ticket gets dropped. Its a fix-it ticket.

Hard to explain the intersection. The SUV turned but then stopped in the middle of the intersection. Almost as if she was waiting for me and the cop to go. Cop was in the lane next to me.

I figured the SUV was waiting for us to pass so i went. I think people just freak when they see a cop car.

But really the cop had already made up her mind on what happened. I wasnt about to argue about it to make things worse.

Btw, don't they give you tickets for not having the card while driving, regardless of whether you are insured or not?

I would have made a left turn. On numerous occasions I have to take a detour from my route because I see a cop approaching me from the rear. I don't have a front plate and my tint is 15% so I don't want to give the cop any excuse to pull me over.

They are going in the same direction in pairs. Unless the right lane of a pair is a "Right Lane Must Turn Right" kind of deal... but its still a 4-way stop technically.
