If anything, Acura should care about what the mass market think about their brand.

 

Who knows if it was calculated or not. They could have meant top 5 selling luxury brands. I know that those brands out sell Acura currently. There are a lot of luxury brands and also luxury segments: Entry level, Mid Level, High end Luxury as well as Ultra Luxury. I drive both BMW and Acura and I like both for different reasons. In my opinion Acura would be considered Entry Level and BMW has vehicles in all Luxury segments. Acura is definitely a luxury brand but they need to make in roads in the other segments.

 

actually i think Acura outsells infiniti and maybe even audi, but that's with entry-level sedans (tl/tsx) and suvs (mdx).

but all the other brands outsell Acura when it comes to midsize luxury sedans.
