Thanks for all the comments guys!
Show that to my friends with Evos and STis who were surprised I kept up with them in the twisties and they'll be silent
That picture might be true if I were still riding on the stock DeCarbon shocks (or like many autoxers call them, DeCrapons) but fortunately I'm not. See how these guys think of that pic: http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/

Looks good Costco, the mods really improved it a ton...and those rear tires are just the right size. That V8 sounds mighty impressive as well.

head to any SCCA event (esp big track stuff) and you'll see these things dominating. They even had a T2 suspension package from the factory. Anyone who says they can't handle...hasn't driven one......or lives some where flat like florida

Very nice, any mod's done for the suspension bushings?
Energy Suspension make complete urethane bushing kits for F-platforms.
I thought some Z28 bushings are urethane but not all.

Thanks for all the comments again guys. I never get tired of seeing comments and questions on my car
Ah, I like the way they sit too, but I wanted to go wider... 315s would have been flush with the fender, but might have required the combined used of a BFH and a baseball bat. But 315s look utterly bad ass from behind. Also if I went with a 36mm offset for the fronts, it would have been flush. Now I know.
Thanks, sadly that's becoming more true as time goes on. Eventually as more people move to the new Camaro or other cars, the 4th gen is going to become the new 3rd gen of Camaros. Then again if that weren't the case I probably wouldn't have been able to pick one up for so cheap.
Not everyone likes it, but I really like the body style though... I think its pretty unique if you think about its styling features.
You can, but for the front windows its very light, only to 35%. Tint is another thing I want, and yup, it looks great. I want to go dark but I was thinking 20% for the fronts and 10% on the hatch (there's no limit for the back but I want to see at night)
Thanks for the votes of confidence guys. I'm glad a couple of people who have actually seen what these things can do chimed in.
I still don't understand the stigma these cars have.... this isn't your grandpa's stock longitudinal leaf spring Camaro.
No, but they're another thing I plan to upgrade. I'm considering getting rod-ended LCAs but I want to ride in someone else's car with them to see how it feels first, since my car is my DD. They're big with the F-Body autox crowd, since they take out a lot of the slack that these cars have and don't bind at the limit like some rubber/poly bushings do (really annoying, by the way). The factory suspension has mostly cheap stamped-steel construction which is weak and heavy, and bushings that are designed for ride compliance more than corner carving.
I just don't feel like paying someone else to work on my car, but at the same time I'd hate to do the bushings myself. I'm thinking about just upgrading the LCAs, sway bars and maybe the front A-arms, all of which will have new bushings and end links, and adjustability!!! A select few aftermarket manufacturers use ES bushings.
Thanks, and the tires are great. Don't just take my word for it.... definitely check out other reviews of them from the 350Z, G35, Corvette, and F-Body guys who have them. I had 245/50/16 Goodyear F1 GS-D3s before, and those were pretty expensive tires. They were quiet, had great traction in the dry and wet (no snow around here) and had a supple ride.
These tires have stiff sidewalls, so while impact harshness was a bit higher, they gave the car more of a connected to the road feel and the ride was still great. Despite being 275s the actual tread width is narrow compared to other 275 tires, while the Goodyears were wide for their size. The handling improved and instilled more confidence than the GS-D3s, since the tire doesn't want to deform during hard cornering. The one area where the Goodyears were notably better though is in the rain. Still, these are excellent in the rain and again, my car does not having traction control.
If all that weren't enough.... the Vredesteins are $40 less per tire compared to the Goodyears, 275/40/17 compared to 275/40/17 last time I checked. Price wasn't even close to being the biggest factor in my choosing these tires, but it helped. My only real complaint about these tires is that they tramline somewhat. But I did go really wide and its a minor annoyance considering how great they are. By far the thing I get asked about and complimented the most on is the the tires. The tread pattern is irregular though, so make sure your installer knows what he's doing if you get them. A lot of people think I bought four driver's-side or four passenger's-side tires.
^LOL, sorry if you weren't expecting a Tire Rack-esque review, and instead just wanted a solid "they're great" or "they suck". Let me know if you have any more questions about the tires.

Costco, the car looks great. For some reason the vids aren't working for me either, but regardless, the GS wheels and drop look killer and I'm sure it sounds as good as it looks. I'm still very much considering one of these as a track car some day in the future. I'm not sure I'd be able to handle it as a DD though. I like my Accord for that duty.

I don't remember but one or two needed a real press (not large C-clamps, large pipes and sockets like we used) that required a shop to do it. It may have been the torque arm front bushing. Harbor Frieght have cheap China hydralic presses, make sure you wear safety googles.
It made a nice difference, the back end felt more planted between on/off throttle transistions in turns. You've probably already know this but also expect rougher ride and road noise.

I helped a friend put in a full urethane kit two decades ago on his 86 IROC Z28 5.7 It took all day, but if you do it yourself do it in the warmest weather and have plenty of hairdryers and 100% silicone lube around.

That's good to know, I've always been curious about bushings since the majority of F-Body owners mainly upgrade suspension for drag racing applications, which usually hurts handling. I'll keep all that in mind though, I just can't decide whether I want to autox it and have a somewhat better chance in a lower class or go all out and have a corner carving beast but get my ass kicked by serious racers who have dedicated track cars and slicks all around
I want to do the latter, but it costs more.... I might do pretty well at the local level I guess since the class my car is in doesn't exactly contain the most common autox cars.

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
JZ: Good to see you back on here. And all you need to do is save your COLA, and buy a used 07 CTS-V when you get back.
OP: I'm not a Chevy guy, but that Z looks very clean. Most of the ones I have seen are just way over done, or beat the hell up. Nice pick up.
