Very cool. Forgive my ignorance, but how new is the Mark IV navigation system? Are most BMW navigation and radio systems upgradable like that? Very cool.

Its still old, its the DVD based navigation that came out in 2003.

Older BMWs can be updated but still no where near as fast as google maps on an Iphone.

Looks great. Now all it needs is a set of wheels.

I love those wheels-I tried like hell to get them for my 530xi but they didn't have the correct offset available anywhere.

I have to admit, before I saw the pictures I was like, "meh", but DAYUM that is one sweet ride! Looks brand new, but better. And +1 on the original wheels

edit: I see cross-drilled rotors. Did you forget to add that to the list?

Theres a bunch I am missing from the list however I want to say those are OEM..

Most of the suspension was already replaced with OEM parts. The motor and trans are brand new and not because anything was wrong with them, it was because my buddy was bored often and had too much money/time.

Most of it is original, the front and rear bumpers were repainted. Front from rock chips and rear just because.

The chassis itself has 105k miles on it.

Yes angel eyes are on there as well.

I am replacing the interior LED lights as i find them to be tacky.

wow the gloss black exterior trim really makes the black look pretty. What your friend did was tasteful as fuck

Alcantara the seats are like the inverse of my BRZ. Leather inserts and alcantara bolsters vs alcantara inserts and leather bolsters.

Rarely see these older Beemers (or is it Bimmer?) in such pristine condition. A very clean ride indeed.

Congrats and enjoy!

Seems like the seats would be hard to get into because of how far inset they are from the door. That would be awesome for a woman in a skirt getting in.

What a nice car. It's also got room for the family.

Is this a bridge until something newer tickles your fantasy? IE is it a fun car or daily driver?

Recently moved to a new house and my commute to work is less than 2 miles now. So its a bit of a daily driver but not so much of one.

Will keep it till I get bored with it or want something new. I came to terms with my illness.

Wow...that is one very well kept BMW. Still looks like new for a 13-year-old car.

I also wish it was a manual. Congrats.

Less than 2 mile commute... I thought mine was short, hah (< 3 mi)

E38 is still my favorite overall 7-series. As the E39 was my favorite 5.

Dear god it's beautiful... This gen 7 series is the best of all time, congrats!

IMO, ditch the angel eyes. They look tacky on cars that didn't come with them from the factory.
