I was thinking about this today and wanted to see what the results of a poll like this might be. So here it is.

 

i do it like every 3-5days

 

Personally I do it once a week to every ten days unless I'm insanely busy. I've been known to burn through a tank in 3 days.

I filled up on Monday and still have 1/4 left.

 

I fill up at half tank .. Comes out to about once a week, two if I'm feeling VTEC-y that week.

 

isn't every other week less than 3 times a month?



for me it's usually almost exactly once a week if I am just doing my normal commuting. occasionally I have a drive a lot or far for work, and fill up a little more often. So I chose once or twice a week.

 

Every 1-2 months....so I'll say every 1.5 months to average it out.

 

Used to be 2x a week. Haven't put gas in the car in 3 weeks now and probably will go another month and a half before I do.

Having a broken leg sux but at least I'm not blowing through gas since I can't drive.

Once or twice every week. To fill my Taurus with premium cost me $87.00 on Wednesday...

I've been driving that poor car like a damn grandmother... shifting at 2500 rpms, always keeping it below 2500rpm on the highway. Driving this way does rewards me with roughly 400 miles (650kms) to 1 tank

 

I walk to work.

 

The only vehicle I actually "fill" the tank is the CBR. The TL and E-Class I deliberately get half a tank that'll last about 2 weeks.

 

4-5 days dependsing and i'm usually at dead E. my commute is long each day so i typically may go through a quarter tank of gas a day. just sucks even though with a 14 gallon tank i can get 350 miles out of it.

 

just wondering for you guys with a long commute... what do you guys consider a long commute? i have a 17 mile drive every morning and night, fill up about every 1.5 weeks?

my ave fuel econ is about 22.5... about 27 when im cruising on highway but sometimes i find myself flooring it on backroads and still get 22.5

and S.spirit, more power to you man. i probably would if delaware wasnt so rural

 

i put about 70 miles a day on my car. sometimes a little less, sometimes a lot more.

 

Depends on my drive, but usually a tank lasts me full week. When I had my Civic it was even better, I could drive close to 2 weeks without filling up.

 

About every month and a half. I telecommunte 100% unless I have to drive to the airport- which is my main mileage- but I fill up the tank on my corporate card in this case. I've had my Mazda3 now for a year in October and have only paid for gas maybe 3-4 times with just over 3000 miles.

I voted once a week. Every now and then I have to fill up twice, but that's not typical.

From last Friday (a little over a week ago) to yesterday though, I filled up 3 times.

 

I have a 13 mile commute every morning and afternoon but half is city plus other than that mostly city driving so I fill up about every week

 

Mine varies greatly, but under normal conditions its twice a month, if I have a lot of traveling to do it can go up a lot.

I live on campus and almost never drive. Also when I do leave campus I get rides lots of the times.

 

During the school year I fill up once or twice a week. When I work it is once every three days.

 

i pick depends.
like right right now my Oddy low on gas so i flip over to the Accord drive it until gas get cheaper and fill them both up.

 

that's nothing my personal fuel bill is 1250-1500 a month. and i got 2 Hondas. the GMC Sierra for the farm i primarly use for farm purpose got a Duramax in it but it kills me when i hook loaded wagons and take them to town . hell then i'm down around 4-5 mpg maybe. plus it doesn't help i got it turned up( the Banks Big Hoss package on it) . i bought the truck from dad and dad had it on it when i bought it. its gots Crazy torque and hp(like 425-450 wheel hp and 850 or 900 ft lbs of torque last time dad dynoed it) but the mileage sucks.

i take the CTA to school and drive less then 2 miles to work, i fill up about twice a month. And the 2nd to last option should be "less then twice a month"....

 

my commute to work should only be 1/2 hr but in traffic a good 45-1 hr...in my gsr i pump once a week and my TL i put twice a week...lately its been the integra because it's such a gas saver and still has heat for a 4 banger

Mostly it is once every 6-7 working days. So I can get away with 3 times a month with my I35. The Pathfinder gets filled once every 3 to 4 weeks.

During the summer I'm filling up the car at least once a week though. Lots of trips. I went to NY, then VA, then MD and back to NY in the last 4 weeks and next week I go to NC.

 

I usually completely fill up every week on Sat. But since I have a commute everyday now since I am in school, I put $15-20 on Thurs to get to and from school until Sat. Before I was in school a tank would easily last me a week, and that was before it was on empty. I love the mpg my ack gets in these gas wars!!

I hate my 80 mile daily commute.

 

Once a week. Very rarely do I have to fill up 2x in one week. Car is getting about 470 miles to the tank. 90% of my driving is on the highway.

 

I drive about 200 miles a day round trip, and thats divided by 2 since I alternate cars everyday...

 

Same here. I voted once a week though b/c sometimes it can be if I have a lot of events... but it's usually once every 5-7 working days, so can be once every other week.
