How many of you still drive the same car you had when you first registered on AZ?

Still gots it.
2006 TSX, off the lot with 90 miles (March '06), up to ~27k miles now.

Will hold onto to it at least until it's paid off.

For some odd reason, the car that I could see myself in next is an Audi A4 Avant (S4 Avant if the funds are there )

As much as I love my Mazdaspeed, I wish I had something nicer interior-wise. I think I may pick up the new leather/alcantara seat covers off the 2008.5 and the piano black trim too.

Need to spend a day going through the car and fixing every rattle I hear and then I'll probably be happier.

I put leather in my new Mazda3s Touring and it makes a huge difference, especially with the door panels.

When I signed on here back in 03, I had a 98 Prelude and a 04 TSX. I still have them both, and I added a 06 A4 to accompany with them.

I had a 94 Tbird with the 4.6L V8 when I registered for the forum in Aug 02... bought a 2003 CLS 6spd in late Sept 02, and still have it...

Only 68K miles so, I'll probably keep it for awhile... As much as I'd like a BMW 128i, I don't know if I want to get back in to car payments anytime soon... I had the tbird till it had 136K miles on IIRC, so I tend to keep cars for awhile...

Maybe I'll buy used instead of new next time around

I would buy used and tell BMW to go fuck themselves with that 128i pricing.

Wait two more years and buy something used.

After buying my Mazdaspeed3, I think I've finally learned my lesson. No more soul-crushing depreciation for me. I'm buying used so if I get sick of something after a year, I've not lost my ass on it.

When I first registered I had a 97 Civic EX coupe as a daily driver, and drove an 03 TL-S on the weekends. Never really owned a car until late November of last year. That's when I bought my 95 Integra LS sedan. Had it until September 2007, then bought an 02 Camaro Z28 in mid-October. Still have it of course and I love it.

Won't ever buy a Honda or Acura for myself again unless its an S2000 or RWD.

I still have my SSM 03 CL-S6. Lately I've been contemplating selling it though since a deer totaled my 99 Legacy last week and gas keeps on climbing. We'll see what happens though

It's always more practical to buy used...preferably at least 2 years to be most cost effective. I've never bought a new car and probably never will (thanks to my finance classes).

I get nervous buying low mileage used cars. I always think to myself why the pervious owner sold it so soon.

Maybe he had problems with it...

I think he was. He traded it in because his wife got preggers. They then bought a new CX-7. Why would both he AND the dealer lie about a next to new car? Use your head. I also have all the dealer records..in once for the re-flash and another time for a first oil change.

Car now has 12k miles and is flawless.

I agree that always makes me nervous as well but it depends on the condtions. Like if I go to my Acura dealer and have low mileage Acuras on the lots that can mean a lot of things. Like maybe the first owners lease is up. I mean they had to liked it enough to trade it in for another Acura. However, if I were to find a lexus with low miles on the lot that would make me wonder well why did they already swith over to another brand? The same thing would apply for having a used Acura a Lexus dealer.

Logically you are correct. However I once bought a used Chevy from a Chevy dealer that ended up having problems the entire time I owned it. The car only had 35k when I bought it. It had its first of many electrical problems at 38k. I did drive the piss out of it but it was completely dead at 135k. I replaced so many parts in that car it wasn't even funny.

Hm that really stinks but I guess its just buying a used car you run a risk. I would be really mad in your case if 3k later it started giving my problems. And it really stinks the lemon law is no good for used cars either. Then again it comes back to since its used who knows maybe the first 35k the first owner didnt have any problems. Shoppin for a used car is a hard task and sadly you can never been 100% sure your getting a good car.

Well dont forget that dealers swap cars often.

My buddy traded in his TSX (had $14k of damage fixed) at a lexus dealer. Then two weeks later we found it at the Acura dealer. It was also certified.

Quick Reply: How many of you still drive the same car you had when you first registered on AZ?
