How do you guys usually park?

I almost always back into parking spots, as it is a habit for some reason. Recently somebody asked me why I do this and I really had no answer...
Do you guys usually park straight in, back in, or parallel?

I try to avoid backing in because people here don't give you an inch and get pissed if you take any sort of time parking.

I park straight in as well.

My idiotic brother in law always backs his car into my parents driveway when he comes over...His excuse? If he has an emergency it's easier to get out of the driveway pulling out forward than backing out.

I think backing in is easier than just straight in. for smaller spots at least.

98% of the time I'll back in.

It's easier when you're pulling out when larger vehicles decide to park beside you.

I park however I need to, and whichever way is the easiest

I only back in when I HAVE to park between two Suburbans or something, or if I see someone's reverse lights go on in my rearview. and even then I usually don't take the spot cause I don't like parking next to vehicles with a higher likelihood of passengers

Depends where I am.

I'll pull straight in while at the mall but back in if I'm washing my car or parking in a friends driveway

Yes...At least I'm not alone...I always park towards the back to avoid all other people...I have seen to many careless people, too many car door dings, and too many mothers putting there shit down on cars next to them to strap their kids in.

Lol I agree. I remember about a month ago it was snowing quite a bit and I parked far away and my gf's like please park closer I'm in heels and it's snowing. My solution, I carried her. Everyone's happy.

Back in and always on an end spot putting my tires on the line.....

Kind of like getting a window seat on a plane, where I only have to put up with one asshole next to me.

you are not alone-as a female I park towards the back-find two empty spaces (one in front of the other) so I can pull in straight to the front space. I then can pull out straight (no need to back in or out)I also love to walk.

Straight in, or straight-thru.

If you don't have visibility issues, just fucking park it. Nothing worse than waiting for some idiot to make a 456-point turn parking crusade.

I usually back in because its easier to use my rearview camera to tell where my rear bumper is (compared to just guessing where my front bumper is). When driving my truck I park any old way....

Usually straight in. Sometimes I back into my driveway if there are no cars coming.

I do however find it funny that when 1 person backs in, everyone around that person will back in as well. I do not know if it is an unsaid trend or what. But I laugh every time I see it.

I just pull in. I don't need to waste my time backing into a spot.

^ Normally I do the same... however, today at the gym it was a little crowded and one of the few spots available was kind of tight on one side... so I backed in so my passenger side was close to them but I had enough room to get out no problem. Plus, odds are they were there solo, so they shouldn't need to get into their passenger side. If they did, oh well. Not worried about the truck either b/c my side steps will get hit by their door, not my truck.

I do that sometimes which is why I voted "depends on the situation".... although 99% of the time I just pull in.
