How can you tell the difference between a ITR and a integra
as teh tittle said, how can you tell the difference between a Integra Type R and a regular Integra (gsr, ls, gs...)? i know the ITR have 5 lugs and no sunroof. someone told me something about the doors?
The 3rd character in the VIN will be a 4. 4th to 8th characters - DC231 (DC2 is a 2 door Integra, 31 is a Type-R)

That's the BEST way to tell!! Most ricers (read: all) dont change that and most other people dont pickup on a 'Type R' badged Teg with 4 lugs being faux.
so a usdm itr have no side molding and the other teggy do? cuz the only way i can tell is the 5 lugs and no sunroof. real ITR have no sunroof right? cuz my friend is arguing with me that a teggy around the school is a ITR but it have a sunroof and 4 lugs.
side molding is the long plastic line that runs arcoss the lower door right?

About the doors, the ITR has NO door mouldings. All the others do. I think the best way to find out is to check the VIN like mentioned above. Anyone can do a conversion, but most won't go through the trouble of swapping VIN plates.
ITR in the US was rated at 195hp at the crank.
The ITR came only in three colors: Championship White, Phoenix Yellow, Black.
The ITR does not have a sunroof (they add weight, something they expressly tried to cut in the ITR).
The ITR has a 5 lug spindle as opposed to the 4 lug on all other Integras.
The ITR has a huge wing on the back and unique body colored skirt kit.
The ITR is around 0.5 to 0.75 inches lower in ride height than a standard Integra.
The ITR is only available with the gunmetal 7-spoke rims from the factory.
The ITR only came with a manual tranny (5-speed).
That's all I can think of for now.
