Right now Nissan is one of the most profitable car companies there are. They erased a 9 billion dollar debt in 3 years and they have taken significant market share from various competitors. Ironically, the company that saved them isn't doing so hot (Renault).

Even thought the 350z has more power, i think the s2000 still owns. Drop a supercharger and you have a monster

Yeah, but the S2000 is far from a realistic daily driver.

A 6 ft guy can actually drive the Z and see stop lights without sticking his head out the window...

I drove the S2000 & I must've looked like a wacko...poking my head to the side at every light...

personally i think s2000 is a piece of shit. for the price u pay 150 ft-lbs SUX, the s2000 is a ladies roadster not a drag racing car.

Exactly, no one ever claimed it to be such. It is meant and designed for a road course...

Trippin, the S2K is bad ass!
IMO, the Porsche Boxster is a POS for the price you pay.

okay i think the 350z vs S2k is like comparing apple to oranges.

even the 350z vert is different from the s2k. s2k's are supposed to be compared with roadsters in mind ala miata, boxsters, slks, etc.

The one thing i hate and love about nissan is that they never brought the S15 silvia over from 99-03. The top of the line S15 spec R just awesome.

RWD with VLSD
Nissan Z32 brake system (came stock on all JDM silvias)
55/45 wieght distro
2800lbs with driver
250hp at only 8psi
215lbs of torque
6speed close tranny
t-28 full ball bearing turbo (max boost is 18lbs which should be good for 300whp for that car)
$25,000 USD with HIDs, Aero package, 17 inch rims by NISMO

IMO that was probably the best bang per buck sports car in japan at the time.

Would guys go with JDM Honda Integra Type-R or S15 silvia? i mahself would go with S15 =)

Your argument is somewhat lacking. You talk about two cars in the US then base your argument on a car that will never step foot in the US and then give Nissan the thumbs up?

my point was NOT to compare the 350z and S2k... my opinion for the S15 had nothing to do with 350z vs S2k. I was just stating that S15 and JDM integ type R are in the same class and that S15 pwnz the type-R

The CL-S was my first ever Honda and the experience was a good one. I liked the car for almost everything, no problems whatsoever. This is my 3rd Nissan product and so far it's great. And to whoever said it, what about G35 resale value? I haven't seen any for sale?

Fuck Nissan, what kind of response would you expect on an Acura forum.
Nissan has horrible resale compared to Honda, period.
I would take an S2000 over a 350z anyday, not to mention it's faster in the 14 mile.

S2000 are shit, they are soo expensive, and u calimed they are not for drag racing, but more of a road corse car, then it only runs a 66 in the slalom, the Z (track pack) pulled off a 68. lets break it down.

Z S2000
287 hp > 240hp
274 lbs-ft > 150 lbs-ft
3200 lbs < 2800lbs
RWD = RWD
Stats:

1/4 stopping slalom base price
350Z 13.9 115 ft 67.8 27,000 - 33000 (track pack)
s2000 14.1 123 ft 66.6 33,000

now don't gimme ne bs sk is better Z all the way. I still love honda but s2k, not worth it for the PRICE.

Plus at the track 350's run low 14's, i haven't seen a stock s2k break 14.5. and don't gimme that s/c bs, cause if u s/c a 350 u got 350+ whp

Hey newbie...check this out
http://www.epinions.com/auto-review-...38F23071-prod2
Correct me if I'm wrong but does that say 13.8...just checking...get your facts straight....S2000 is by far a better car than the 350...period!!

bwahahhaha, pulling track times outta an epinions review from someone who has nothing to back up it up? weak, like no one on freshalloy has posted slips of 13.8's from a stock z? that doesn't determine which is better anyways, its different for every buyer.

i think honda was more exciting in the past with the prelude, old si, typeR, crx etc where nissan is currently becoming more exciting.

I'll ask you again...

Have you ever even driven an S2000???

Reserve your number's recital until after you've driven it. You're comparing(close performance numbers or not) two totally different cars.
