Exactly. Anybody can punch a pedal in an automatic. Not that the C55 isn't a beast in it's own right, but the ZO6 runs the 1/4 miles faster and has a higher trap speed than the C55 so technically should never lose w/ a competant driver.

lol you kidding me bro?? Come on man, I'm speaking performance here. Those 3 categories should be already given. And as far as a poor driver...how many z06 owners are poor drivers? Perhaps, 1 in 50?

I was thinking the exact same thing when I was in my friends CLK55.

It's a nice, fast luxo sedan. The C55 has a little more hp and 30-40lb-ft more torque than its predecesor C32. You can sip on your cup of tea while hauling ass, but its not going to beat a Z06 without a SC. These cars are heavy at around 3500lbs+.

Only thing I have to bitch about the AMG line(like someone said before) is they handle and turn like shit. I know they're 3500 lb pigs. but some of the best handling cars(other than Lotus or Vettes) are made in their backyard, BMW. I wish BMW made car as good looking as Benz or Benz made a car that could handle like BMW.

Wow! Finally the thread got on the right track.

Yeah, the C5 Z06 that I said previously probably was driven by a person who doesn't know how to drive a manual properly. . or maybe when we were both going at it, he thought the C55 was too easy for him and didn't continue the race. I wasn't trying to

oh, btw. . . RED TEXT = SARCASM. . . . .

Personally, the C55 has better interior than the TL also. . Something about the C55 interior is just so. . . . luxurious. The Mercedes I guess. (I own 3rd gen. so don't flame me TLers. . )
