Hid

I know the HID topic has been discussed at least a million times. Did a bit of search before making this post. Looks like the factory HID temp is 4300 Kelvin. I always thought it sould be somewhere close to 6000 K.

I'm thinking to add a set of aftermarket HID on my other car. I'd like to get the factory look instead of the aftermarket blue color. I have not seen 6000 K in person (maybe I have but don't recognize the temp). It's a bit difficult to tell by looking at photos on computers. Does anyone has suggestion what temp I should go with?

Thanks.

If you want the factory look, go with something like 5000 k. 6000 k has a bluish tint.

4300k is what i would go with.

Anything above that you are losing light output.

Unless you have a true xenon, I'd stick in the 4-5K range...

Great reference material. Seems like 5k is the most white.
