Help ! I'm indecisive.

Lately, I've been pondering the idea of getting another car in addition to my TL-S. My budget is 50-60k range. Although I thought about the idea of spending anther 20k out of my budget and get the Nissan GTR. But I think it'll be a bit irresponsible. So far I looked into a few but need some comments on

nissan gtr (expensive, over budget)
bmw 335i (hpfp)
audi s4 (love the car but kinda pointless to get another sedan)
Chevrolet Camaro (not sure if i'll like muscle)
bmw 328i convertible (no hpfp but it's kinda slow)
audi s5 (prefer the V6T over the V8)
benz e350 coupe (feel slow)
nissan 370z (too small, i'm 5'11 and 225 lbs)
porsche cayman (same as above)
bmw m3 (a bit over budget, seems to be more of a track car than a road car. Dont wanna be at the gas station every 3 days)

Any comments on these cars or any other cars you wanna suggest?

Appreciate all of your help

Why? You would prefer s5 over m3? They cost about the same. Give or take a few grand b/c bmw are selling at a discount and s5 doesn't have much room to work with.

The 335 x-drive coupe. It's om par with the last M3, my bro has one it's a nice car to drive. You just feel every single one of NYC potholes. If you can put up with that go for it.

Get a nice 328i and with the money you save you can buy me something nice! ^_^

In all seriousness, I'd consider the S4.

stay away from the camaro at least for this year til whatever kinks in it are dealt with. I am surprised you didn't mention the lexus is-f or the is-c. As for the nissan gtr I know I heard of problems with that button ( I forgot what the hell the issue was). Benz wise I would go C-63 amg'd out screw the e class. and like Blackura said a used 911 is a good option too.

I am not crazy about the IS-line or lexus in general.

Gtr launch button have some warranty voiding issue, however the 2010s doesn't have the button anymore. (the car might be way too expensive to maintain though)

Benz wise, i test drove the e but didn't like it. The c63, i wanted to test drive but scratch it off after sitting in it in the showroom. The seat is made for really skinny ppl. I was pretty much flatting out the bolster on the sides of the seat.

I agree that 911 is sexy.....

If I had $50k to buy something right now, I would not buy something new.

I'd look at a used 911 Carrera S. I really like the newer SLK55s as well.

I have concerns about Audi's FSI V8 especially considering the RS4's problems with carbon build-up. I love the S5 but like the OP, I'd wait for the 3.0T.

Plz don't get another sedan...

Z06/C6
NSX
911
Cayman S (my choice for maily track and a very close second)
S5/A5 2.0T S-Line (can be fast w/ mods)
E46/E92 M3 (my choice overall)
M6
M Coupe
S2000 (and S/C it)
CLK AMG
370Z
Jag XK/R
G37S
GT500

Oh and what do you do again?

Edit: and you're not to big for any of those cars, maybe an Exige.... just buy used, and change the seat

I think you'd be surprised at how much interior room the Cayman has. I have a very tall torso and I fit fine. If you haven't sat in one, definitely do so. New standard (non-S) Caymans are in your price range, and the 2009+ ones have the new 9A1 family direct injection engine.

The Z06 would be a great option if you wanted to buy something for $50k and then sell it for $40k six months later after you put 3k miles more on it.

Look at this....

2005-07 SL65 I always loved these... Here's an ad for an AMG, but they can be had for lower:

SL65 AMG

Always loved the HT convertible. This exudes class..... And it's pretty quick. I can't comment about the maintenance, though.

Thanks for the comments all.

Not trolling, seriously considering 50kish car. I'm not rich, i'm just willing to spend a lot of my money on the car. I work in the finance industry.

In addition, I do not know how to drive stick or else i would've settled for the 370z nismo. Currently I do not owe any money on my car and i'll have to finance this new car.

So back to the topic.... GTR is really my dream but i dont think i can cough out another 25k or so. Monthly payment will be way too much for me to handle. I want to have some money put aside each week for savings.

I love the s5 (if it came w/ the s4 engine).

I test drove the s4 and fell inlove w/ it. It's just that it's another sedan =[.

335i is sweet but i'm afraid of the hpfp issue (bimmerfest)

I also would prefer to buy new as i would prefer to pamper it myself.

I would obviously vote in favor of the Z06 as I have chosen to take that path myself. I think with the NSX, these two represent the best "value" if you want something that'll give you the most performance for your dollar.

But however, I'll vote against the Z06. I've driven most of the cars you've listed except a couple: If I could go back in time, I would have picked a pre-owned 911 Carrera S or a Cayman S. Here a few reasons why:

1. Reliability: Porsches in general have good reliability. If you go on 6speedonline or rennlist, you will see a lot of people have high mileage on their cars. I have a friend in Switzerland that has 211k miles on his 2001 Turbo.

2. Resale: You'll easily always be able to sell them. 05 911s with 40k mileage are going for the same if not more than my 07 with 7k miles on it.

3. Fuel economy: Drive conservatively and the inline 6 engines won't deceive you.

And don't be afraid to get a 06-08 Cayman S even if it means used. I will repeat it again, those who have driven the Boxster/Cayman are the ones who truly appreciate them, to other people it's 911 or nothing.

But really in the end, it's all preference. I've been known to be a p-car whore.

Drive them all and go with what makes your heart the fastest.
