So, I was thinking.... I have an extra H11 Kensun 35w H11 HID kit in 5000k, would or should I just go on eBay or TRS and get an H11 relay harness, and have a shop drill out the dust caps because I don't have the drill or bits, and go and install this kit... It's not a bad kit... In my 08 Camry it flickered slightly (remained on, never went out) it just had a slight twinkle to it but produced a nice color and worked w/o a relay... I'd go w/ a relay on this car though... But would this be a good idea? It would save me a crap ton of money and prevent me from having to get a white halogen set up to eventually retire for superior HIDs anyway...

On on a side note, since the OEM Kia headlights had the reflective material within the projector disintegrate from heat from the OEM bulbs, I wanted to get like an aftermarket brand headlight, like body shops do... I found AP-automotive brand on eBay (I think) wanted to find DEPO, but couldn't... Anyone ever try these???

I don't want the exact same housing I had OEM which goes bad inevitably, then to put an HID bulb in it to make matters worse meaning I'd need new headlight assemblys every other year...

Want to to brak the cycle... This shit should've been recalled it's incredibly dangerous to drive at night...

Either way, should be able to get these (pair) stateside for $205 then relay (TRS) $30 and white halogen highs for another $30 plus shop install on the headlights and grille b/c bumper has to be pulled and I have a wiring issue in front passenger side maybe... $100-250 for that?

I'll be roadworthy Ina looking better!!!

Good deal^^^ ???

Yay v Nay?

Thanks!!!

Really hope to get this done soon, really loving the car!!!

I had to add about 3/4 of a quart of oil... I head the engine make a slight valve chatter for about 2 seconds when I started the engine cold earlier today... It's been 1100 miles since the dealer changed the oil and it was low on me a couple of months ago, really low, for that matter... So what, burns 1/2 a quart every 1k miles, not bad, didn't both Honda and Toyota do this on their 2.4's???

While under the hood, found where I could hook a power lead for HIDs (fuse box power bolt) and a ground (fender bolt) and where to run the wires...

Can't hook to the battery on either terminal because the each have sensors on them and the car will get pissed off if you do...

Stupid question, but would I need a capacitor? It shows it as optional on the TRS website relay layout guide... My cars a 2011 EX w/o any DRL, it is H11b, so I'd need H11 bulbs which I already have... It's a single beam setup... I needed some moduial on my old Kia Sportage b/c it was H4 (9003) and would cut power to low beam upon opening projector for highbeam...

I'd appreciate any info, really don't want to have to re-do it again and again because it was hell last time...

Thanks!!!

Ok, well I just ordered (finally!) the new headlights!!! Had to sdnd them straight to the shop because my address has a crazy bitch that is F'ed up in the head I think... More into that later... Anyway, gonna run those crappy Silverstar Ultras until I have time to install (and $50) for relay harness and such...

Really about to go broke...

Getting all my legal shit stright in MS because I pretty much don't exist in either LA or MS...

Been in MS since 2016 (will be here a few more years)

This, on top of, moving, job hunting, and all is VERY stressful although I'm remaining positive...

My life is looking to take shape, so I'm happy about that!!!

I have to empty my 56 square foot bedroom and move into a motel, then move to another motel in another town (where I inted to operate)

Am I NUTZ?

They work!!!

So far, great!!! Silverstar Ultra bulbs aren't bad at all!!! Wish I had ZXE, but I'm soon going HID anyway... Very bright, because they previously sucked for so long... Having to aim lights but otherwise great!!!
