Headed to Cary, NC to test drive...

A used IS-F. 2009 with about 20k on the odometer.

Just curious if you guys think it is a pretty good deal or not. Of course I will still try to lower the price as much as possible. Good news it my wife likes it too after seeing/hearing one at the last cars & coffee I was at.

I've owned a few performance vehicles in the past, but since owning my tsx I've lost the memory of what it's like to really own a monster. We will see how the test drive works out.

No. Look at the carfax, it had a serious accident. It had to be towed. And they want $43k? LOL

I'm 15 minutes away from there. When are you going to be in town?

I paid a little less for 4k more miles last year for my 08 but there was no accident and it included an 5yr 125k miles warranty. I would only buy that if you really check the repair and they seriously come down on the price.

They need to come down a lit with a serious accident on the ledger. Plus if the frame was damaged, then no way.

Yeah... the least expensive 09 M3 I could find with in 200 miles of me is $45,400 before haggling. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
Which I would consider if I were thinking of 43K of the IS-F

Good catch, I would have requested said carfax if the test drive would have wen't good. I typically forget to ask about them up front.

Your car is literally why my wife likes them. She is not a car person by any measure, but the sound of that exhaust and even she had that shit eating grin. I will have to keep looking, maybe if I can make it up to Cary the one I linked will at least be worth getting a test drive done to see if I even like how it drives.

If frame damage gets mentioned, I wouldn't buy it. I know they wouldn't sell the thing cheap enough for me to consider a performance vehicle with frame damage.

M3? Whats That?
M5 or bust...better yet, V-series badge or bust if your going that route.

IS-F insurance quotes I got are about $150/month cheaper for me over the M3. Plus better mileage and to me superior looks. Only alternative I would take over the IS-F in that segment would be the CTS-V. I won't mention the insurance on that thing for me. It is weird how they come up with these prices, the ISF is only $4.00 more a month than my tsx, even as the primary vehicle having the TSX as the secondary.

Well at 3:30 this morning my wife woke up and requested to go to the ER. By 6:30 she had IV's, heart monitors, CT scans, Blood tests, Ultrasounds, and Blood pressure readings. Came back that she had a softball sized ovarian cyst. Needless to say I won't be looking at cars in the near future or at least until I get the all clear from the radiology lab that the cyst is benign. They gave her vicodin and sent her home. We will see what the future holds...
