I called the number cause if its not a typo i would wire him the money immediately, and there is a message that says "If you are calling about the car for sale it was a wrong number and I know nothing about it"

The pictures and description were stolen from this ebay ad. I have emailed the seller a link to the autotrader ad.

You will note the autotrader ad lists a 630 area code # (Chicago area), but the car is actually located in Texas.

Please be smart. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

There are a ton of people out there trying to steal money by selling cars that don't exist or buying cars with fraudulent checks for an amount above the selling price and asking for a refund of the difference.

 

I just heard back from the actual owner, who sold the car on ebay.

He has confirmed that the autotrader ad is fraudulent and he and I have each emailed autotrader about it.

I would say the car is worth exactly $29,850.00, the amount of the winning bid in the ebay auction.

 

the car seems to be well taken care of. notice where the sun's reflection is at on some of the pics, no spider webs and his seats look a lot better than my 4 month old TL

I was not overly impressed with the exterior condition, or the various modifications that have been done. The HREs are nice, the NSX-R spoiler is less so, and I am not a fan of the home-cut engine cover.

The interior has some custom upholstery that looks recent, but it does appear to be missing one of the door leather inserts (unless that is an inlay of the custom color, which it does not appear to be). That is why it looks so fresh. My 93 stock black seats don't look as good as my 04 TL seats do, but I expect they will look better when the cars have similar mileage or age (likely not both).

Remember that NSXs are not the average car. Most of them are 12-13 year old cars with 60-100k miles, but still look virtually brand new. People are always shocked when I tell them the age and mileage of mine, which are similar to this car.

While there are some bad ones, in general they are well-kept, pampered cars. I would call this car average, which is not a bad thing in the general sense of car condition, but merely a reflection of the NSX context.

 

I think the price was generally in line with the overall NSX market.
