Harbor Freight Tools? Any Good?

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone every used Harbor Freight Tools? I usually use Craftsman when i can but lately i have been seeing more and more adverts in my Car Magazines and wondered if the prices were as good as they seem and the equipment was ok quality wise.

I only ask because unlike some posters with multiple personality disorders on this forum "Im NOT Richhhhhh Bitchhhhhhh!"

I buy all my wire brushes from hf but for hand tools, power tools, and things like wire brushes that go on high rpm power tools I generally stick to something name brand. I also have a HF engine stand and tubing bender that seem to do the job. I am by no means a professional though so I don't need the engine stand to hold up to much abuse and the pipe bender doesn't need to be the most accurate thing in the world.

I do have friends and family that swear by harbor freight because they can buy a nail gun and it will last long enough for them to do the one project they will every need it for.

I seem to remember everyone on the R6 forums using them. I have no idea why this sticks out but they were always positive reviews

The price is what got me in the door as we have an HF about 15-20 minutes from me. I've used HF tools for a number of things. Simple maintenance stuff (tune ups, oil changes, etc). I have no complaints.

I bought a few hand tools from HF and never had any issues with them. Besides, all hand tools have a lifetime warranty so if you break it they will give you a new one lol!
