I got to say i never get any pleasure from hearing about the misforutnes of others. EVERY car is gonna have its problems. I'd take brake problems over a tranny.

That's hilarious dude...but then again, aren't you the one who said the S2000 sucked?
I got news for you, I've driven a few G35's & the brakes are 100% times better than the Acura's.
All your doing with these retarded statements is asking for a flame up your poo-poo.

Sucks to hear they are having problems .The techs must be freaking out .Warranty brake work barely pays enough to cover the time invested to correct the problem in mnay cases .

So, you think it's funny G35's have brake issues...but you'd rather have a Z over an s2000...and you claim "hurray for Acura"...but would rather buy a Z06 than an NSX...
I think you have not a clue of which you speak grasshopper.

personally i think s2000 is a piece of shit. for the price u pay 150 ft-lbs SUX, the s2000 is a ladies roadster not a drag racing car.
cool i started a flame war, i would still prefer
S2000 < 350Z
NSX < Z06
S2000 < 350Z
NSX < Z06

I've had my rotors resurfaced TWICE by Acura.. pads replaced once all around .. and now I'm going in to get my rotors replaced for real this time... possibly new pads again.
G35 sux?? whaaa?? I'd rather have a 6-spd G over my TL-S anyday...

Not sure if it'll be better than the G, but the new TL r0xx0rz t3h b0xx0rz. Finally a 6 spd stick, 270 hp engine, DVD-A surround system, brembo cross drilled rotors, and it looks like a TSX *passes out on the floor drooling*

wow. i think g35's are sweet. but like everyone knows... everyones got their share of problems. i got alotta comments about the Cl's tranny issues from other forum members but i still bought one. infiniti will take care of not only their clients, but their reputation. this will pass over much quicker than our little tranny issue.

I see a lot of idiots in your thread. You, your dad and the service advisor. I could put all three of your heads together and you still could not beat a 3 year old in checkers.
As a matter of fact, I just dropped a turd who has a larger mental capacity than you.

The issues the Gs are having are on the non-brembo cars... The pads are lasting SOME people 15k miles. And I say some... This isn't an "everyone" type of thing...
Infiniti is saying it's because the pads are super-soft (which they are)... Lots of brake dust!!! The Gs, even the non-brembo ones brake unbelieveably good. One of the best braking cars on the road.
So it's a trade off, in my opinion. Good brakes with lousy wear. But pads are CHEAP compared to what else can go wrong on a braking system; e.g., rotors.
Just my $0.02...

Forums, especially this one, were formed with the idea of informing others about experiences with similar cars. We have all helped each other out time and time again. I have contributed and have probably taken away more from this forum than any other. The CL community is a brotherhood. Don't be an idiot and pollute it with insane idiotic ideas.

I now drive an accord....
I don't like nissan because my parents had a 1992 sentra with auto belts that were defective after the car was 6 months old. This was a serious safty issue, but after going the whole way to the top of nissan we still only got the same response which was basiclly that they are a large corporation and don't car about one persons problems. After the way we were treated by them I swore I would never buy a new nissan product.

It's pretty weak to laugh a people who dished out 35-large on a car that may have a subsequent brake problems. As for the Nissan Service advisor, the know less about Nissan's than Honda Service advisors!! (Pathetic)
With Nissan brakes, my front rotors needed to be fixed when I first got the car but hasnt been a problem since.

And why ask a Nissan dealership about Infinity issues?? I doubt the Nissan guys really know whats going on and are probably going by word of mouth from couple of ppl.

I personally don't think complaining about Infiniti's brakes is appropriate when our own brakes are absolutely horrible!! Even the magazines note that Acura's brakes aren't up to par (I remember reading that comment on the new TSX). I'm sure that Nissian is having their own issues with their line of cars .. it's nature of the game. Honda certainly is going the wrong way on their quality (Dick Colliver even was quoted saying that in a USAToday article).
It's unfortunate that we forked out a large chunck of change on 'perceived' quality and are having problems with the most basic elements of a vehicle which should be caught in most basic testing and quality control.
I personally am done with Acura .. between the horrible handling of the tranny problem ... the garbage paint job ... the denial attitude when I report a problem .. the falling quality .. and the new TL-TSX twins that have little distinction .. I see Acura doing many of the same things Pontiac did in the 80-90's (even the red dash lights on the RSX)
