Good find... but the real humor can be found in the ads on the right side of the page about 1/2 way down the page...

I'm going to build my next house out of whatever that pole was made of!

Actually, if it wasn't for that pole, he probably would have ended up in the creek, which could have been much worse.
Engine is ok though, so that's good.

That was bad...but, still...not nearly as stupid as the Enzo guy.

I kinda compare this gaffe to nootch's M3 accident.

I don't know if they still do it, but you bought a E39 M5...you could take the drivers course in SC for free. And learn how to properly drive it.

Not sure the still offer the full 2 day course with the E90. BUT you can take performance delivery of ANY BMW at the performance center for free. Nice hotel, meals etc all for free. You only get about 2 hours of track time among other things but anyone that doesn't do this, if they have the time, is really missing out. The best part is you get to drive the wheels of THEIR car, they have a full fleet and you drive what ever you bought, if you wreck it the pull it off anf bring you a new one, one of the few driving schools that you have 0 liability for damage. Plus their delivery is second to none. They do it in big glass bays and the people doing it do it every day so they REALLY know the cars, nothing like at a stealership.

I wonder when he punched the throttle if snap oversteer caused him to lose control? Cause it doesn't look like it was going too fast judging by the damage.

Can DMW make up some Super Car License to shrink the probability of these kind of accidents.

I'm no professional driver by any means, but seriously...supercars will kick your ass if you treat them with inexperience.

I know... I drove by there today looking for the markings, but couldnt really seem them. I doubt he gave it too much throttle...they have been doing road construction over there for a little while and there was probably dirt/dust all over the road along with the fact that street is a little narrow. It probably was just a combination of inexperience and poor condtions and wanting to be the "man" in his new GT.

I don't know how "good" of a driver this guy was but I do agree that there should be mandatory driving course(s) that people should HAVE to take when they purchase these types of vehicles.

Or even better, have a qualifying license to purchase it. They make big rig drivers have approved licenses to drive big rigs, etc. So why not these types of vehicles. Just playing devil's advocate.

But I guess there isn't enough exotics crashing for the DMV to warrant a special car license for exotics. Probably for every one exotic that crashes there is 1000 accidents involving “regular” cars.

...ya know? being a personal trainer, I can almost relate to this.... a lot of guys will join a gym and on that first day or week... they are so eager...sometimes over train to a point where they can't walk or left the arms up because they used soooooo much weight... it should be something that they work up to... until they are ready to do such heavy weights... it seems that some of these guys don't know what power they really have underneath the hood... and over does it...

There's a few of them, and one of the owners of the GT's also just ordered a Bugatti Veyron! So be on the lookout for that sucker too. No clue when it'll be delivered though. If you go the "world of wheels" this year the guy who's buying the Veyron and pictures of his GT will be on a huge poster in the art section.

if anyone buys a nice expensive supercar. They should be required to go to a racing school to handle that kind of power if they plan on driving it. what a terrible waste.
