Props to OP for checking to see if the guys ok and not caring about his car at first. if he hit you going around 40 mph how are you doing.

my guess is when he hit you he flipped over and some part of his body (or maybe a part of his bike) whacks into your rear window shattering in, and he's tumbling over your car, nicks your roof and front end while tumbling down onto the Accord. But man, you must've had no idea what's going on. I know I wouldn't if all of a sudden my rear window shatters and someone just flew over my car. Good job, OP, you did a better job than most people in your situation would've done

How about that truck driver or the Accord driver? Did they try to help you out with the biker?

Don't forget to collect on diminished resale value as well.

glad he didn't injure anyone. It's a good thing that he didn't die, this way he has to pay restitution for damages.

Yeah props to you OP with everything happening so fast. Stuff like this happens to me my vision gets all blurry. And I agree with Bob that it just could've been that dude realized he was still alive and was going to go home to lay down. Anyone check GSX-R forum to see "I think I got in an accident and I'm wanted"?

when we had to wait about 30 minutes for police report, i guess the cop was doing research on bike and owner...and yeah, he did NOT have insurance!

I am fine, you can see the damage on the car...basically car wins in a car vs. motorcycle crash. I was stunned when it happened, and just remember a loud crash behind. later when i calmed down, my back was aching only a little, so really i had zero injuries as that soon went away.

thats my guess too. the motorcycle itself is responsible for my bumper, trunk, etc damage, and at first i was like then what hit my window? but i think now it is obvious...again happened too damn fast.

well the accord was filled with 6 people, and they all got out, and now that i look back on it, they first thought i was the one that hit them! they couldnt see my damage in back yet and couldnt see the motorcycle under my rear bumper and the guy was half way to his bike when they all got out...they soon figured out what happened on site but it was too late to help with the guy. Also the semi truck driver got to the scene a little later...he rolled up slowly and blocked traffic, but it took awhile for him to get out of his truck (maybe he called 911 too?)...so they were not able to help with the biker, but again, it all happened too fast.

in terms of collecting on diminished resale, thats a good idea, i just have no clue how to do that, and not sure i have time to be getting into a lawsuit and everything...not that my car was worth much in the first place, but every penny counts i guess.

$4500 in damages is gonna make a big difference in your resale value. Ask your adjuster. I agree, it's not worth getting into a lawsuit with your company, but they should give you the extra dime upon request.

GL with everything

Yeah my brother and his friend got into an accident once and my brother said his friend just got up and walked off because he was just shocked, I guess adrenaline or endorphins or something. He kept yelling "Hey man you should stay here and wait for the ambulance!" and the friend just replied "Ehh.... uh..... I dunno..." then he walked all the way home and went to bed!

So as others said I don't think he just got up and fled because he wanted to get out of any trouble or that he was on anything.
