Goodbye TL and Acurazine!

just because you bought a Chevy truck, doesn't mean you have to say good bye to AZ... most, or I should say ... a lot of people here have gone on to other brands, but yet... stuck around

Congrats on the truck, seems like it was moved from the TL forums to Car Talk, because we all know the TL forum folks are so open-minded....
wow, that was a :ghey: response.... insecure much? oh wait, you share fleshlights with other dudes

Yea 5.slows truck was in the 1/8 mile, its wierd owning anything besides a honda or acura, ive owned 2 accords and a tl, and i am a honda tech. I know nothing about this truck but im sure i will catch on, im sure its already faster than my tl and HP is cheap! I love this truck so far.

I think the 6.4 Powerstroke is a good engine, but the 6.0 was indeed a pile. I had one for a short time and it wasn't a good engine. The 6.4s are markedly improved. I've never really understood hopping up a diesel engine in a pickup, as the truck is still limited in what it can do.
OP:
Nice looking truck. I especially like the contrast with the black wheels.

That wasn't him that guy got banned, fleshy used to be timmahhh but his name got changed after admitting to owning one. However the cock size response is just stupid people drive all kinds of different vehicles for different reasons.

People who think those who buy fast cars do it to make up for something are retarded.

Care to explain why it's "junk"? I daily drive my Tundra and the 5.7 iForce motor is very potent in my opinion. It easily pulles anything and everything I hook onto. As long as it fits our needs, I seriously don't see why one would call a very potent contender, junk.

That's a little exagerated don't ya think?

Tailgate failures.
Torque converter issues
Bed bounce seems to be a common complaint but is apparently cleared up with a TRD rear sway bar.
Gauges very difficult to read in sunlight
Camshafts (rectified AFAIK)
Toyota Shimmy (vehicle shimmys at speed after multiple alignments and tire balances, seems pretty common on the forums)
Springs can't take payload capacity (if you actually haul above 5000lbs airbags seems to be a necessity)
Paint is well japanese soft and easy to scratch
no optional gear ratios
no locker
sheet metal is too thin
These are all complaints I have picked up off the forums, a lot of this stuff you might not be able to detect during a test drive so I think it's pretty important to listen to the owners. I think the NEXT Tundra will be a one hell of a machine though, the current one is good don't get me wrong but there's some room to grow. Hey it's still better than a Dodge.

I agree on almost all points with you. As for reliability, it's a hit or miss I guess. The only thing I've changed on that whole list on mine was the TRD bar that I installed because of the so called bed bounce. Yes, it is better than a Dodge for sure and by far.

I test drove a 5.7 Tundra with my brother when he was looking for a truck. That thing hauls ass! And its really imposing in person and while driving it. It was definitely the "nicest" truck I've driven. I don't like the looks all that much, but I don't like the way the new GM or Ford trucks look either. I actually like the new Ram looks-wise but I still don't have any use for a truck so
I still like the previous gen F-250s. And as far as modding a turbodiesel truck.... its more amusing, and not to mention embarrassing to watch a huge ass lifted truck burn a Corvette or a Ferrari in the 1/4 than anything else.

whats with all the hating on the dodge pickups? i haven't heard anything bad about them other than their transmissions crapping out. The trans issue is an easy one to solve, put a allison into it, that truck would go forever. I would personally only purchase one of 2 diesels, any gm with the duramax and allison combo, or a dodge 3500ram with a short box and of course the swapped in allison

I saw a loaded to the nines Sierra CCSB with 4,000km on it for 33K. Keep in mind shits more expensive in Canada, but that truck retails at 54 here +13% tax. 4,000km is like 5 tanks of gas so it's not even broken in yet and it's a full 20k cheaper.
#72
I paid 35k out the door, the trucks sticker was 43k. The black bowtie i just spray painted with black plastic spray paint it came out great. As for the Xenons i dont really get your question but they are 4000k Hids they looks great nice and white, big difference from the regular halogens. The truck gets decent gas mileage its no tl but its not too bad if i can stay off of the pedal!
