A good replacement for 3G TL?

A good replacement for 3G TL?
For those of you who don't like the 4G TL and eventually want to replace your 3G TL. What do you think of this Lincoln MKS?
http://www.lincoln.com/mks/home.asp
The only thing I don't like is 40-46k for a Ford?
BUT! It has touch screen nav, voice command and push button start. Horsepower/fuel efficency/options are similar. The depreciation may be a bitch though.
Tell me what you think!

The Lincoln is a much longer, bigger, heavier car than the 3G TL, and thus slower. Its more comparable to the RL than the TL.
The Lincoln MKZ is more directly comparable to the TL sizewise, but doesn't perform in car mag tests as well as the 3G TL does.

I was thinking about a G35 before my TL but I came from an 03 Maxima and I had more problems out of that car than I care to remember. I'm done with Nissan altogether. I agree that the IS 250/350 is a smaller car but that is what I would go for as a 3G replacement. I like the looks of it on the outside and the guys on the Lex forums say that it is ripe for the mods.

18 years, really? I thought I was doing well with my '96 Honda Accord with 238k on the odo. Looks like I have a few more years to go. I took the question as if what would be a good replacement today since the original poster was looking at a Lincoln MKS. I don't think the Lincoln is a bad car, just not for me.

the 3G TL is irreplaceable!!!
the 3G TL is irreplaceable esp if its the 07-08 model!!! It's too hot. It has a nice front nice back, nice side. I just love how the only option to the TL is navi. Such an easy decision. Obviously theres the type s choice but u know what i mean. U truly get a lot of bang for ur buck. theres a lot more expensive cars than the TL, but they dont have a rear camera like the TL. and the NAVI is so user friendly, i heard about other complicated navi systems and annoying ones too. oh and the 3G TL is like the only car with the front and rear side markers. most cars juss have the front or back or they use the front ones to signal left and right only.

I would consider M35/M45 or the next E55 in 2010 for my replacement. Granted both are much higher in price than the 3G, but I'm in a different time in my life now, so I can afford a better car. The IS250/350 is way too small for the price.

Personally I would go with a 3 series BMW. I got rid of mine to get the TL and I kick myself every day for getting rid of it. I personally just don't find the TL fun to drive and I never feel in control like I did in my BMW. I've had it a little over a year now and I'm trying to figure out a way to convince the wife I need to get another BMW.

Opus,
I understand what you're saying about your BMW. But I had a 5 Series, and I got rid of it because it nickeled and dimed me to death with repairs.

sorry guys but you are all wrong, the car I would replace my 3G, and Might in 5 or so years, is the new Hyundai Genesis. V8 375 hp, baby!!!! Its a awesome car for the money, sure the car might be made of alot of recycled plastics but the cars has alot of options and a huge V8. Plus with the depreciation that it will have in 5 years. It might go from 38k to 15k no problem in 5 years. Just like I picked up my 3G TL, it might even be lower, but I doubt it.

in a few years it will be very affordable and a nice used car purchase. its a car a lot of people are overlooking because its a hyundai but what me and some others are saying, don't just overlook it. certainly won't replace the TL, this is an Acura/TL forum afterall.

I'd say no to the Lincoln or any domestic right now. Its too hard to guess which ones will still be around or in what form in 4 years.
A BMW 3 series is a nice choice if you aren't too attached to your car and like to drive a lot of others (i.e. loaners while your car is PMS'ing and in for its monthy repair). German engineering has yet to grasp that "electricity" thing.
I'd stick with Acura/Honda or Lexus/Toyota. Btw, I just happened to have bought a NBP 2008 TL Type S(exy) recently but if I was forced to get something else, then those new Accords are damn nice.

In 4-5 years Genesis will have depreciated to a price that's quite affordable, and I believe its 10 year warranty is transferable.
It is a very nice car for the money even new, but due to the economic conditions as of late Hyundai might have to cut its price further and that in turn will hurt the resale price down the road.
