Going to pull the trigger on my new car

im looking at the G37 S right now and i think i may be getting a good deal on at at one of my local dealers..G37 S with premium, rear spoiler, splash guards, and mats the msrp came up too $41,130 and im looking at a lease and so far my best numbers are 39 months 15k per year with $3000 total down for $469..i know there some members on here who have the G37 and i wanted to know their opinion as well. Another thing thats holding me back is im in upstate ny and snow is coming soon so i dont want to get the car then have it in storage for 4 months..whats your advice for me.

Does that price include tax? If it doesn't that is a pretty bad deal. Are you going through Lia - I know upstate is a big area, but that is the only dealer near the capital region? They typically are a few grand high. I bought a 07 G35X from them about 2 years ago and have little nice to say about them. One of my friends is in the midst of negotiating a deal on a 08 G35x and there is a dealer in Ramsey, NJ that seems to offer much better deals.

With your deal, keep in mind you are paying $21k to drive the car for 39 months, if you wouldn't sell that car for cap cost reduction, minus the $21k after 39 months of ownership its not a good lease deal, unless of course you are writing it off through a business and even then I have mixed feelings about the benefits of leasing in NY, seeing as you can set a very flexible depreciation schedule for a vehicle owned by a business that is nearly as good as the lease, and you still have the asset.

No need to store it in the winters. Snow tires will work like a charm...

great deal, if it includes tax.

im a huge fan of leasing. you always have a new car. and you never have to deal with the headache of selling it, or getting ripped off during trade-ins.

If that includes tax its not a bad deal. Roll in the 3k into the payments. If it does not include tax then get them to include it for that price.

yeah tax is included the $3000 that im putting down is for everything including motor vehicle..and yes im going currently working a deal with Lia i always lease i know its going to depreciate but i dont wanna take out a 5 year loan and i always get sick of my cars soo thats why i lease and ill just beat the crap out of it and give it back in the end..and the payments is gonna go down another $10-$15 because im going to lower the miles from 15k to 12k because im not gonna drive it all year round

The longest I've ever kept a car was 37 months, and a few I've had for about a year, so I hear you about getting bored quickly. I was into leasing back in the late 90's but eventually I put enough down to make the 60 month payment the same as the lease payment and paid off the car even faster, then I had the flexibility to do what ever I wanted and had a lot of equity in the car, factor in the tax savings with a trade-in in NY and buying starts to make a lot of sense, you literally save yourself thousands over the cost of a few years. As long as you buy right, your golden.

As far as Lia is concerned I would strongly urge you to shop, a hour and a half drive can easily save you a few grand. Prior to buying the infiniti I had(which I traded in about a year ago) an infiniti driving friend warned me that they were sharks, I should have listened. They never did anything special for me and were a pain in the ass to deal with, they treated my friend the same way. The one recall I needed addressed was not a big deal, and the experience was OK, but again nothing special. The sales people are thieving bastards though.

Doesnt sound like that great of a deal to me. I sold a used one with 2,000 miles on it white in color with all the same features as listed in the OP for $37,000 out the door with VA tax and tags. That's because we traded it for $35K.

Congrats. I don't know enough about leasing except it's not for me. I like to own my cars.

Don't see the point in getting a car you really enjoy, only to store it....Drive the darn thing - that's what you're paying for. It's not like it's an exotic.

I just test drove a G37 Sport w/ Premium and Navigation as well as the rear spoiler. I don't know shit about numbers, but I do know that it's a fucking beast and I loved every minute of the drive.

The G37S is definitely on my top 3 list of cars to get as my next car.

I never test drove G37 yet, but If I have to pick a car within that range, I would go with 335i.

Op, Make sure to give us feedback with pictures.

If Jesal and I agree, its the truth.

I owned a second gen. G granted it was a sedan and not a coupe, it just wasn't that fun to drive. Not to mention the second gen G coupes don't stand out like the first gen G coupes did. For that kind of money I would get a different summer car, my G35 may have been straight line faster then my S2000, but the S2000 is so much more fun to drive.
